LEOMINSTER — As the region is hit with yet another major winter storm, this one categorized as a blizzard warning as of press time, one young man will be out hustling removing the projected 20 inches of snow forecasted.
Leominster High School (LHS) Class of 2023 graduate Anthony Truong launched AT Outdoor Services two years ago “after seeing a real need for dependable, honest landscaping and snow removal services in the area.”
“The idea was to create a local business people could rely on, one that shows up on time, does quality work, and takes pride in every job,” the 21-year-old said. “It also gave me the opportunity to earn a living by helping others improve the look and value of their homes, turning hard work into something I could take pride in while making a positive impact in the community.”
He grew up in Fitchburg then moved to Leominster, where he still lives. As a standout goalkeeper and captain for the LHS varsity boys soccer team, Truong started and led the defense during the 2021 and 2022 seasons and as a star player he helped bring the Blue Devils significant victories — including defeating Northborough’s Algonquin Regional High School 2-0 in November of 2021 on their home turf, Doyle Field.
Now a college student, Truong studied for two years at Suffolk University in Boston before transferring to Worcester State University, where he is studying business administration. He currently has over 100 AT Outdoor Services clients and if anyone is looking for help with the services he offers — snow removal, landscaping, hardscape, mulching, yard cleanups, and general outdoor maintenance – they are welcome to text their address to 978-808-3683 for a quote.
The hardworking entrepreneur has been incredibly busy this winter, which has seen more snow fall totals compared to the previous few winters. That being said, it’s no surprise Truong shared that “snow removal is especially busy during the winter months while landscaping and seasonal cleanups are most popular in spring and summer.”
Truong credits his strong work ethic to his family, which he said, “is very important to me.”
“I grew up in a hardworking family that taught me the value of responsibility and earning trust,” he shared. “Those values strongly influence how I run my business and treat my clients.”
He is known in the area as being dependable with fair pricing when it comes to his work, which also includes mobile car detailing through his other business, Tony’s Car Detailing. Truong said he is grateful for all the people in the greater area who trust him and rely on him to take care of their needs year-round.
“The response from the community has been very positive,” he said when asked what he appreciates about clients recommending him and supporting his small businesses. “Many new clients come from word-of-mouth and referrals, which means a lot to me. It shows that people appreciate the effort and care I put into my work.”
