The Fitchburg Art Museum is encouraging people to join them for “Eleanor’s Dream: A 100th Birthday Soirée” celebrating 100 years of the museum and the opening of the exhibit “Kaleidoscope: 100 Years of Collecting for Our Community” on March 7 at 6 p.m.
Colorful, expressive and dreamy attire is encouraged for this enchanting evening marking the beginning of the Fitchburg Art Museum’s four-year Centennial celebration.
Over eight-hundred artworks from the museum’s Permanent Collection in immersive floor-to-ceiling art displays will serve as the backdrop for mingling.
Enjoy cocktails and culinary delights from a special collaboration between local caterer, The Finicky Fork, and Fitchburg’s Latin American restaurant, Victors on Main.
Vibrant live entertainment will showcase a kaleidoscopic odyssey of music through the ages including an after party featuring a Young Coff33 Productions DJ set.
The Soirée will provide vital support for the Fitchburg Art Museum’s community initiatives, exhibitions and special programs.
This once-in-a-century celebration is inspired by Eleanor Norcross’ joy in collecting and her heartfelt dream, a dream FAM now carries forward: to inspire creativity and learning and to nurture the well-being of the vibrant and diverse communities in Fitchburg, North Central Massachusetts and New England.
Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door (ticket price includes one drink): Full event from 6 to 9 p.m.; advance tickets: $50 each / $40 each for FAM members. That day, for the full event from 6-9 p.m. door tickets: $60 each / $50 each for FAM members. After-party from 8 to 9 p.m., advance and door tickets: $20 each / $15 for FAM members.
