DUTCHESS COUNTY- State Assemblyman Anil Beephan, Jr. (R, C – East Fishkill) has been endorsed for reelection by the Republican and Conservative parties.
He said their backing “reflects our shared commitment to principled leadership, fiscal responsibility, and standing up for hardworking New Yorkers.”
Beephan said he remains committed to addressing the ongoing utility crisis by pursuing responsible reforms including suspending what he called costly renewable energy mandates and related payments that drive up rates, advancing clean nuclear energy as a reliable long-term solution, and demanding greater transparency and accountability from utility companies.
At the same time, he said Albany lawmakers must confront the rising cost of living in the state. “I will continue to oppose new taxes on hardworking families and small businesses while advocating for policies that make New York more affordable and competitive.
The state must also address the growing EMS crisis to ensure first responders have the resources and support to protect local communities, he said.
