NEWBURGH – Chad Wade has been named the City of Newburgh’s Superintendent of Public Works.
Wade has served as an assistant city engineer since 2014 and brings more than 20 years of experience in public infrastructure and government operations to the role.
“The Superintendent of Public Works oversees the essential services that residents depend on every single day,” said City Manager Todd Venning. “From sewer systems and sanitation to streets, snow removal, and clean parks, this DPW is foundational to quality of life in Newburgh. Mr. Wade’s experience positions him well to lead the department with professionalism and accountability.”
The superintendent serves within the Department of Public Works, working directly under the commissioner of Public Works and reporting to the city manager. In this role, Wade will oversee the City’s Sewer, Sanitation, and Streets & Bridges divisions.
In addition to management responsibilities for the City’s Sewer, Sanitation, and Streets & Bridges divisions, the superintendent of Public Works also maintains municipal buildings and city-owned properties, and manages the city’s vehicle fleet.
