LUNENBURG — The Lunenburg Public Library is offering puzzle lovers a chance to swap, shop, and race their way through these winter afternoons with a Puzzle Swap and Puzzle Race.

Beginning Monday, Feb. 9, patrons can bring completed jigsaw puzzles to the library’s front desk in exchange for swap vouchers, which can be redeemed for new-to-you puzzles during the swap from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 21. Remaining puzzles will be available for public shopping from noon to 2 p.m. Attendees without a voucher are welcome, and puzzles will be offered for a freewill donation to the Friends of the Lunenburg Public Library.

Adding a competitive twist, the library will host a Puzzle Race at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25. Teams of up to four will race to complete a 500-piece puzzle as quickly as possible. Up to eight teams may compete, with a minimum of three teams required to start.

New this year, individuals without a team can still join in the fun. The first four solo registrants will be grouped into a team dubbed the “Missing Pieces.”

Registration is required for the Puzzle Race. One person per team should register with their name, contact information, and team size.

Whether swapping, shopping, or racing, the library’s winter puzzle events promise fun for all ages and skill levels.

For more information, or to register, visit the library’s website at lunenburglibrary.org or call 978-582-4140.
