DEAR BONNIE: I was at a couple of your gallery readings but I never received a reading for myself. I am wondering why? I know there were a lot of people in attendance but why might some people be chosen and others not? The gallery itself was wonderful and I am just wondering what I could do next time to be the one chosen from spirit. Thanks Nancey
DEAR NANCEY: First of all thank you so much for coming to some of my galleries which means a lot to me. This is a great question because I am sure others who leave a gallery who did not receive a message wonder the same thing.
The atmosphere of a gallery reading where dozens of individuals sit all with the singular hope: to hear a word from someone they’ve lost. For many, these events are a bridge between the physical and spiritual world. However it is a common experience for some to receive specific, detailed messages while others do not.
A gallery reading is often described as a three-way conversation between the medium, the spirit world, and the audience. When someone receives a message it is usually because there is a harmonious alignment of energy. When I am standing in front of lots of people I am like a radio receiver tuning into specific frequencies. If a loved one comes through with high energy and the person they want to connect to in the audience is open and relaxed, the signal from the other side is clear and it’s so much easier to connect all three.
A few reasons why someone might not receive a reading could be their strong skepticism or intense desperation and these can create an energetic wall. If you are in the audience and you are locked in on hearing one specific thing such as a name or a specific conversation that is playing in your head you can inadvertently lock your energy making it difficult for a medium to bridge the gap.
The spirit realm is also so intelligent they know where the most healing would take effect if someone were able to hear from them. I know I ask the spirit world to let me clearly see, hear and feel the loved one coming through and I know that my heavenly team is trying to support me from the other side by giving me souls who shout the loudest or have the easiest connection to my frequency so I might be able to connect easily with the soul coming through.
However, while not everyone receives a personal hello from Heaven, hopefully each person in attendance witnesses a glimpse through the veil; a reminder that the soul is eternal. By witnessing the joy and relief of others, especially while the medium is giving strong evidence and proof of life, attendees are often reminded to look for their own signs, the coins, the birds or the songs that their loved ones play in their heads in the middle of the night. Please know that every person who has attended the gallery that your loved one is standing right beside you often with their hands upon your shoulders. If they did not make it through during the event know in your heart that they are always near, protecting and guiding with love.
Want to receive your own sign? Ask your loved ones to give you a specific sign in the next 48 hours. Then relax and see what happens. I promise you they will try hard to let you know they are with you. When you see that sign acknowledge it and send up a thank you because the more you acknowledge them the more signs they will send.
And one last thought, I know as a demonstrating medium that I could give everyone who came in attendance a message. However, we usually only have a limited amount of time and energy. If you can take away anything from a gallery it’s the reassurance that love never dies and life really is eternal and never-ending. Keep going to Galleries because the energy in the room is often healing for everyone, remember to come with an open heart and mind and if you need that connection with someone in heaven, book a private reading with the medium where you know that three-way connection will be just for you.
