Sullivan County Chamber appoints new president
Matthew Sush

MONTICELLO – The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce has named Matthew Sush as its new president effective February 2.

Sush is a lifelong Sullivan County resident, who chamber leadership says brings a strong background in relationship management, community engagement, and leadership development.

Most recently, Sush served as a business relationship officer at Jeff Bank where he worked with local businesses, built long-term partnerships, and provided relationship management and client service.

“Sullivan County is home for me,” he said. “I grew up in a family of educators and small business owners, and I’ve spent my career working alongside local entrepreneurs.”

He said the chamber is in “a healthy position with strong community support. My role is to provide steady leadership,  build on that foundation, and help guide the organization toward long-term growth and greater impact for our members.”

In 2021, Sush was recognized with the Sullivan County Young Emerging Leader Award from the chamber.

Among his community involvement has been serving as treasurer of the Liberty Rotary Club, board member of the Sullivan County Chamber Foundation, chair of the Thompson Town Planning Board, and holding leadership positions in the Sullivan ARC Foundation and Sullivan County’s Young Emerging Leaders initiative.
