LUNENBURG — Lace up your dancing shoes and step back in time as the Lunenburg Public Library hosts a Golden Oldies Sock Hop Party at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at the library, 1023 Massachusetts Ave.

Denis Cormier will perform a lively mix of beloved hits from the 1950s and 1960s, bringing the spirit of early rock ’n’ roll and classic oldies to life.

Attendees are welcome to dance along or enjoy the performance from their seats. Guests can also stop by the refreshment table to enjoy a complimentary glass of mocktail punch.

“This upbeat, family-friendly event is open to all ages and promises a fun, welcoming atmosphere for music lovers of every generation,” said Lydia Paolilli, Lunenburg Public Library Assistant Director. “As an added highlight, audiences won’t want to miss a special surprise superstar guest who will help close out the show.”

This concert is sponsored in part by funding for The Lunenburg Public Library Monthly Music Series, with generous support from North End Subaru and the Friends of Lunenburg Public Library.

“We are excited to welcome the community for an afternoon of nostalgia, music, and community fun,” Paolilli said.

Registration is encouraged, however not required. For more information, visit the library’s website at lunenburglibrary.org or call 978-582-4140.
