LEOMINSTER — Young gardeners, ages 8-14, are invited to explore the art of Kokedama, a traditional Japanese planting style, at a hands-on workshop beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Leominster Public Library, 30 West St.

During the workshop, an educator from New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill in Boylston will guide participants in creating their own miniature moss ball displays using plants, soil, sphagnum moss, water and twine.

This program was made possible by funding from the Mass Cultural Council.
