LUNENBURG — Adults looking to tap into their creativity are invited to explore the joyful world of art journal-making during a hands-on workshop at the Lunenburg Public Library.

Presented by Happy Arts Events, the workshop will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, at the library, at 1023 Massachusetts Ave.

The workshop is designed to encourage creativity, self-expression and playful exploration.

Participants will learn a variety of art journal techniques and leave with a beautifully crafted, one-of-a-kind journal — ideal as a personal keepsake or a thoughtful handmade gift.

Happy Arts Events is the brainchild of Jenny DelGizzi and Robin Mitzcavitch, who have been working together to spread the joy and healing of creative art experiences through a variety of mixed media techniques.

“We have been teaching together for 10 years,” said DelGizzi. “We are known for our welcoming, outside-the-box, and free-spirited approach to art-making, offering experiences that open both the inner artist and the heart.”

Both DelGizzi and Mitzcavitch teach, work and live in the Worcester area. DelGizzi is a journal and mixed media artist, and Mitzcavitch’s specialty is fiber and mixed media art.

“We lift up the fact that we are all creative beings who benefit from being able to freely express that creativity in a safe and encouraging space,” Mitzcavitch added.

No prior experience is required — just curiosity and a willingness to experiment and create.

This drop-in style craft workshop is open to participants ages 18 and up. All supplies will be provided, however space is limited (advance registration is required).
