CLARKSTOWN – State Police have released the identity of a woman who was struck and killed by two vehicles as she stood in the roadway on the northbound Palisades Interstate Parkway near exit 9 in the Town of Clarkstown as 70-year-old Minette Brown of New Jersey.
The incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 3 when police said the woman was in the driving lane, was struck by a Honda Odyssey. The impact of that strike propelled the victim into the passing lane where she was struck by a passing Mini Cooper.
She was taken to the hospital where she later died.
The incident remains under investigation.
