POUGHKEEPSIE – Management at the is already working on their future Christmas wish list with a vibrant new facility, according to Mid-Hudson Civic Center President Zeidan Nesheiwat.  The current facility, featuring Maher Hall and the McCann Ice Arena are decades old, having opened in 1976, and requires a tremendous amount of work to keep the facility up-to-date.

“A complete rebuild of the facility would benefit Dutchess County and the surrounding areas for at least 50 years,” Nesheiwat said.  “We are here for the community, and we want our neighbors to enjoy the space to its fullest.  A new facility would make that a reality.”

Nesheiwat admitted that the new design began as an experiment with Artificial Intelligence (AI), but he was so impressed with the rendering that he is subtly floating the idea as a possibility.  “Right now, it’s a Christmas wish, but the future is bright here at the MJN,” he told Mid-Hudson News.
