CARMEL – Two councilwomen, a pair of town justices and a receiver of taxes were up early on Christmas to take their oaths of office in the Town of Patterson.

Democrats Gwen Dougherty and Stacy Dumont were elected last month replacing Republicans Joseph Esposito and Mary Smith in the traditional GOP stronghold.

Democrat Receiver of Taxes Mary Delanoy and Republican Town Justices Michael Caruso and Robert Leader were also elected each running unopposed.

The oaths were administered at Patterson Town Hall.

Putnam County will be conducting its swearing-in ceremony on Dec. 31 at 5 p.m. at the historic Putnam Courthouse when Sheriff Brian Hess, Legislators Erin Lee Crowley and Legislators-elect Jake D’Angelo and Thomas Regan will be administered their oaths of office.
