GROTON — Music lovers are invited to take a fascinating journey into the life and legacy of one of history’s greatest composers during a special program titled “Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: The Man Behind the Music.”
The presentation will be held virtually at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, courtesy of Groton Public Library, in partnership with the Tewksbury Public Library.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, often regarded as the reigning genius of classical music in 18th-century Vienna, has been the subject of countless books, films, and scholarly studies.
Yet the circumstances surrounding his remarkable life — and his mysterious untimely death — continue to captivate audiences.
“This program will offer my audience a chance to step into Mozart’s world, appreciate his extraordinary talent, and explore the unanswered questions that still linger centuries later,” said Dan Lupo.
Lupo, creator of FiveMinuteMozart.com, a highly popular music education platform with over 2 million views and more than 20,000 subscribers, will host this presentation.
He will guide his audience through Mozart’s biography in an engaging spoken lecture, complemented by live piano performances that will bring the composer’s masterpieces to life.
“I love being able to share my passion for music and to give people a refreshing perspective on classical music that they may not have been previously exposed to,” said Lupo. “The giants of classical music are still considered to be the greatest musicians to ever live, even hundreds of years later – let’s find out why!”
Please note that this is a virtual program taking place via Zoom. The program will be recorded and all registrants will receive access to the recording via e-mail within 48 hours.
