TOWNSEND — Children and families are invited to a festive hands-on activity — making a tasty holiday treat for Santa’s reindeer — from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Townsend Public Library, located at 12 Dudley Road.
Young visitors will have the chance to assemble their own magical reindeer food using oats, cinnamon, sprinkles, and edible sugar glitter — creating the perfect mix to help guide Santa’s helpers on Christmas Eve.
Staff will provide all ingredients, and children can customize their creations to make them uniquely their own.
This drop-in program is open to all ages, and no registration is required. Each child may make one bag of reindeer food to take home.
“This event is so much fun because it is simple enough for all ages, and lets everyone share a little bit of Christmas magic,” said Molly Benevides, Assistant Director, Townsend Public Library.
