Egypt’s second national football team delivered a determined performance in the group stage of the FIFA International Arab Cup, competing under the leadership of head coach Helmy Toulon. Despite the challenges of fielding a secondary squad, the team showed resilience across all three matches, earning two draws before suffering a decisive defeat in their final game.

Egypt opened their campaign with a balanced and competitive match against Kuwait, ending in a 1–1 draw. The team demonstrated solid organization and control in the midfield, managing to create several goal-scoring opportunities while maintaining defensive discipline.

In their second fixture, Egypt faced the United Arab Emirates, where the match once again concluded with a 1–1 draw. Egypt showcased improved attacking transitions and a more confident rhythm, but despite their efforts, they were unable to secure the winning goal that would have strengthened their chances of advancing.

The final and most critical match saw Egypt take on Jordan, who delivered a strong performance and managed to defeat Egypt 3–0. The loss placed significant pressure on Egypt’s qualification hopes, leaving their progression in the tournament uncertain.

Throughout the group stage, the Egyptian team displayed moments of promise, particularly given the squad’s youth and limited international experience. Coach Helmy Toulon emphasized development and tactical growth, aiming to build a competitive foundation for the future.

However, with only two points from three matches, Egypt now faces the likelihood of exiting the tournament, depending on the outcomes of other group-stage fixtures.

While the results may not have met expectations, the competition provided valuable experience for Egypt’s emerging talents—experience that could prove crucial in shaping the next generation of national team players.
