Alexandra Bisesi

YONKERS – Mayor Mike Spano has named Alexandra Bisesi as the new Yonkers City Court judge.

She will be sworn in on January 1, 2026.

Bisesi has been in public service for 15 years, serving the Westchester and Yonkers communities, especially as it pertains to municipal and family law,” the mayor said.

Bisesi joins the Yonkers City Court bench after serving as associate corporation counsel for the city for the last three years. Previously, she worked at a law firm litigating matters before courts, including supreme and family, in areas of divorce, family law, and estate litigation.

Her appointment to the Yonkers bench fills the vacancy left by Judge Verris Sshako.

She will run for a full 10-year term in the November 2026 election.

Bisesi joins Chief Judge Arthur Doran, III; and judges Karen Beltran, Karen Best, Evan Inlaw, Ada Medina, and Daniel Romano.
