A Surgeon’s Dark Confession: Dr. Enver Tohti
Dr. Enver Tohti admitted before a panel of experts that he participated in China’s lucrative practice of killing prisoners for their organs. He recounted a harrowing incident in the 1990s, when he was ordered to extract the liver and kidneys from a man who was still alive. The victim, dressed in civilian clothes, had been shot in the chest. As Tohti carried out the procedure under orders, the man struggled weakly—evidence that he was still conscious and resisting.
The Testimony of Dr. Zheng Zhi
Dr. Zheng Zhi, a former military doctor, also came forward to reveal how surgeons in Chinese state-run hospitals systematically murdered prisoners of conscience—especially adherents of Falun Gong. In 2002, he was introduced to a military officer guaranteed to receive an organ from a Falun Gong practitioner. Although the officer died before the surgery, he warned Zheng to distance himself, saying: 'The further away you run, the better. You know too much.'
Targeting Faith: Why Falun Gong Practitioners Were Chosen
Falun Gong is a peaceful meditation discipline rooted in the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. Since 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has waged a brutal persecution against its practitioners. With hundreds of thousands imprisoned in labor camps, these detainees became prime targets for organ harvesting. Researchers have noted that unlike other countries—where transplant wait times can stretch months or years—organs in China can be procured within days or weeks. The source, investigators concluded, was a living pool of Falun Gong practitioners.
The Machinery of Mass Murder
Organ harvesting in China is not random—it is industrialized murder. Estimates suggest that 10,000 transplants are carried out each year, despite China’s official donor registry having only a fraction of that number. This billion-dollar industry thrives by killing innocent people of faith and selling their organs to patients, including foreigners seeking fast transplants.
Evidence That Cannot Be Ignored
In 2006, the first allegations surfaced, leading Canadian human rights attorney David Matas and former Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific David Kilgour to launch an independent investigation. Their findings, alongside mounting testimonies, paint a chilling picture of crimes against humanity. While the Chinese regime denies the charges, the weight of evidence continues to grow.
International investigators David Kilgour, David Matas, and Ethan Gutmann documented this horror in their report Bloody Harvest, detailing the killing of Falun Gong practitioners for organs. A 2016 update found gross inconsistencies in donor records—like 640 transplants in 10 days from only 30 listed donors.
In 2020, the independent China Tribunal, led by Sir Geoffrey Nice KC, confirmed that forced organ harvesting was still occurring—targeting not just Falun Gong but also Uyghur Muslims. He stated, “Very many people have died indescribably hideous deaths for no reason that more may suffer in similar ways.”
A Sinister Dream of Immortality
The Chinese PLA General Hospital in Beijing reportedly launched a "Health Project" in 2005, aiming to extend the lives of senior CCP officials to 150 years. By 2008, their average lifespan had reached 88. Many suspect their longevity comes at a terrible human cost.
A Global Call for Justice
Governments worldwide are beginning to condemn these atrocities, but more must be done. Testimonies like those of Dr. Tohti and Dr. Zheng serve as a reminder that silence is complicity. The world cannot look away as lives are sacrificed to feed an industry built on cruelty.
