On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched an unprecedented campaign to eradicate Falun Gong, involving systematic arrests, imprisonment, brainwashing, torture, and forced organ harvesting, as documented by human rights organizations such as Amnesty International, the China Tribunal, and the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.

The CCP has extended its persecution of Falun Gong beyond China's borders through a transnational repression campaign involving physical assaults, diplomatic pressure, media attacks, and weaponizing the overseas legal systems. From 2024 to May 2025, the Falun Dafa Information Center documented more than 110 incidents globally targeting Falun Gong and Shen Yun Performing Arts, including anonymous threats involving bombs, shootings, cyberattacks, and more—many occurring in the U.S.

For 26 years, Falun Gong practitioners have continued to counter the persecution through peaceful means.

On July 20, 2025, commemorative events will take place around the world. Join the movement by sharing videos, short clips, photos, articles, and posts on Gan Jing World using the hashtag #720 和 #July20Rally to raise awareness, defend human rights, and call for an end of the 26 years of persecution.
