hey everybody before we start today's
video I just want to say that in this
video we're going to be showing lots of
footage that YouTube is going to deem to
be unfriendly to advertisers which means
the video won't be monetized we still
want to do this topic because it's such
an important one as it looks into a part
of society which um Chinese people are
using a bizarre hilarious but also sad
way to scam other Chinese people and uh
if you want to support the channel
consider checking out the donation Link
in the description as well as in the pin
comment below this video to support us
so that we can continue to put out
videos like this where we're not being
censored and we're doing unfiltered
views of China and as well as you can
continue to support our channels growth
and so we can put out more content uh in
the near future so check out the link in
the description and let's get into it
[Music]
this group of people argued in public
their next move fall on the ground
whoever gets up first will lose the
victim status first and this is not not
the scene of an accident this is a
classic Chinese scam called porcelain
bumping it's called punu in Chinese or
faint
[Music]
[Music]
fragility as it describes ponu is the
attempt to scam some out of insurance
money or just in general a sum of cash
so that of course they don't have to go
to uh court for an injury or some sort
of level of pain that's been sustained
against the other
person
foree
fore fore
but you might think oh everybody does
that around the world not just in China
right well wait till you see the videos
I'm showing you today you might be
thinking wow this is really terrible
have you ever seen this faking an
[Music]
injury and it just gets so
ridiculous and this is not even a
regular person doing it this is a
traffic cop attempting to scam somebody
they're looking to tiet the driver but
it's not just them every age gender and
occupation can do
this now these kind of situations are
widespread in China you'll find this
with the older generation a lot because
they think it's a quick way to make
money unfortunately though it does make
their put they're putting their lives on
the line to try to make 50 to 60 bucks
uh in US Dollars of course and convert
it to uh Yen you know 3400 Yen which is
a decent chunk of change for somebody
who may not be making a lot of
[Music]
money let me idea
[Music]
this unfortunately created the total
extreme to the opposite side you'll
often find this phenomenon that in if
somebody falls down or somebody needs
help rarely do you see people try to go
and help them one of the reasons the
main contributing factor is they might
be found liable for whatever injury
that's been caused to them so maybe this
person really did get injured
but the person who caused the injury
fled the scene and if you go try to help
they're going to blame it on you right
this mentality has created the situation
where particularly when older people
fall down um you see the people just
walk by without helping because they're
afraid it's not like this in Japan and
other Asian countries and you rarely
find this type of thing in the west
either now one of the other factor is
that until a few years ago China didn't
really have a Good Samaritan law and
even after they put something like that
up you still have to go through the
trouble of fighting it out in court and
sometimes with the corruption in the
Chinese courts it's really hard for you
to potentially win if the other side has
some you know special connections up
there
[Music]
hey
it's a surpris
[Music]
[Applause]
fire
drama queens and drama Kings honestly
some of them should be acting in movies
and TV dramas instead of on the streets
and in this video this this man is a dog
sled owner he was passing by a park when
a tourist from suan was injured and so
he was being nice and kind he took her
to the hospital even paid up the the
expenses for the hospital thinking that
maybe you know she would pay him her uh
pay him back and she just fled the
hospital even though the injury was not
actually caused by this man and he was
essentially scammed out of 37,000 Yen uh
but that's just how China is sometimes
now this kind of situation so common in
China sometimes it goes outside of China
this happened in Flushing New York
Chinatown in the United States and the
people just take this Behavior with them
wherever they go this also happened in
Flushing go
go see let's go and this is a DH taking
it to the streets of Sweden
[Music]
like imagining if fake soccer injuries
was a real thing in social situations in
China another aspect to this is that
when people fight you'll see that either
one side immediately falls down from
somebody you know giving it a gentle tap
on their shoulder or a gentle tap on
their arm because they're trying to fake
an injury so that they they can be like
the victim uh maybe they were at fault
at first and he also situations where
both side of the party will try to fall
down and they won't get up until you
know the cops come and they can play the
victim and observer's perspective it
looks absolutely ridiculous when they do
this but from their perspective it's how
they're supposed to fight and win this
argument
[Music]
[Music]
there's also situations where you
getting scammed by a group so you have
one person who falls down and suddenly
you have three other people who show up
with their phone film you with
incriminating evidence so that there's
no way for you to fight out of this
except to pay them the amount that they
ask for in other cases it's the
government employees doing
[Music]
this now you think these people would
have some level of professionalism and
self-respect but uh no clearly not all
right thanks so much for watching this
video on China's classic scam of
porcelain bumping and what people do
when they have an argument stay tuned
for part two where we have more videos
coming like this
