David Matas CM is an internationally renowned human rights, refugee and immigration lawyer based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He is most recognised for his tireless work defending human rights around the world.

Mr Matas has received numerous awards, including the nomination for the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize for his investigative work in the co-authored book “Bloody Harvest of Falun Gong Practitioners in China” along with David Kilgour.
