What's going on everybody this is Island Hopper TV and today we are going to talk about the best beaches
For seclusion. So where are the secluded beach destinations? Now, why is this coming up?
Well, this is actually one of the most popular subjects people want to know where can they travel to without having to worry about
Massive crowds like you kind of see right here in Costa Rica, but people want seclusion
They want peace and quiet, especially after all the stress they've been going through. We're going to talk about places in the Caribbean
We're going to talk about places in the Mediterranean
We're going to talk about places here in the United States
Mexico and we're going to go around to some of the other countries around the world
So if this is something that's interesting to you hit that like button and also consider subscribing if you guys enjoy
Content like this. Thank you. Everyone is already tuning in. Looks like we've got a little button on there
What's going on our gravy, all right, so yeah, this is a beach here in Costa Rica
This is called Uvita, which will we will be talking about. It's got quite a bit of people on there
But it's still enough for seclusion. It's a big beach actually, but let's go ahead and dial this in
Before we do I want to tell you most of these places are going to be
based on kayak for open for
Vaccinated but you can also toggle for unvaccinated just the world gets smaller for those of you who don't have the shot
Which is really understandable. I mean, you know, that's up to you. But nonetheless, we'll be using the green for
Destinations right here. Also, there'll be links down below in the description that you guys can click on at any given point
So let's go ahead and dial this in here. We're gonna go into United States and I'm going to talk about, Florida
So there's a lot of popularity for Florida
Florida is actually a very popular place in case you didn't know but you know
If you go to any of these beaches along Fort Lauderdale to Miami
Too many people right and it can get a bit stressful with all the people down there
Even the keys have a lot of people but where can you go in Florida to get some nice beaches?
Well, there's an area it's called the Forgotten Coast. Are you guys familiar with this area?
Okay, so right in here you can see
Apalachicola to Port St. Joe up to Mexico Beach
I've been here recently, but they have these islands right here like Cape San Blas
You can see beautiful white sand beaches and not a lot of people they have these little islands all around here
Even Cape St. George this area right here is known as the Forgotten Coast
So I wouldn't say you want to be right up here on the panhandle next to Apalachicola
But you want to be out on one of these Cape Islands like Dog Island or st
George Island or Cape San Blas so I'm recommending the panhandle
They have some other areas up nor to the east or to the west of Panama City like
Seaside Miramar Beach in between Destin and Panama City Beach
But really that whole area around the Forgotten Coast you're gonna get seclusion
Which I know a lot of you guys are actually looking for. So let's dial this in and talk about the next destination for
Seclusion so if we zoom out here
I'm gonna take you guys over into the Caribbean and there's a couple places in the Caribbean that you can get really nice
seclusion, especially on US Virgin Islands, so the US Virgin Islands has
Quite a few different islands. I don't know exactly how many but I want to say it's around 40 to 50
But you can see right here you go out to any one of these islands around here
You can get some nice beaches and seclusion not a lot of people hanging out on some of these beaches right here
like turtle tutu Bay
Sunsea Bay Spring Bay all these little beach areas right here beach coves all to yourself along US Virgin Islands
That's st. Thomas. You can go to st. Croix if you want it even more relaxed. So I would say the Caribbean
Secluded destination is going to be the st. Thomas st. Croix st. John. You can definitely get some seclusion out there
There's gonna be some people but it's it's good enough to get really relaxed by the time you come back
I'm gonna go one more place in the United States and we're gonna go all the way out to Hawaii now
There's all these other popular islands. There's
Kauai, there's Oahu. There's Lahaina
Maui Big Island is the one that I think has the seclusion that you guys are looking for
Thank you the 15 people who hit the lights and I see our gravy
She says US Virgin Islands is on his bucket list. I mean, we don't get too many views on these videos
I mean, we only get like 20 30,000 views
So it's not like if all 20 or 30,000 people are gonna go to one of those destinations
That's that's why we're doing so many here, right? So you have Island of Hawaii Big Island
Thanks to everyone who already hit the likes by the way to help get this video out there
If you guys can hear me loud and clear, let me know and also I want you guys to
Tell me what kind of videos you guys want me to talk about because like I said, I've got a lot of information
I'm ready to share with you. Do you guys want travel tips? Do you guys want items to pack?
Do you guys want more island content? Do you want more beaches content? What do you guys want more of nature cities?
What do you like? But anyway, so this island right here Big Island
Right along here. You've got a couple beaches on the south side of the Big Island, but not too many
I mean they've got I'm not gonna I could tell you about a green sand beach
That's over here by South Point, but there's gonna be a lot of people out there
But really the Big Island, I would say the Kona side is where the beaches are, you know, and they're they're pretty secluded
They have six nine beach
They have kawaii high over here and then you can go all the way up into these valleys and you can get seclusion relaxation
That's what you guys are looking for, right? So you can get that on the Big Island. Whereas a wahoo
It's gonna stress you out. You go to a wahoo man. Yeah a wahoo. Wahoo is not relaxing. It's like
It's like a water world. It's like a water park out there next place. I want to talk about is in the Mediterranean
So see all these islands I talked about it last time
But I don't think you guys fully understand how amazing the Greek islands are right here in the Aegean Sea
But one island that I really want to zero in on. Okay, this little area you can see Santorini
Everyone goes to Santorini, but there's this island right here. This is where Homer's tomb is
It's called Eos like iOS on your phone Eos. That's how they say it
But this area right here, you can get some real nice beaches
You can go around to the other side of the island too and you can see it's really just
Beautiful. It's gorgeous
I mean it's surrounded by the Aegean Sea really small and you can get around it and have so many different beaches and some of
These but beaches you'll go to you'll be the only person on the beach just chilling out
Relaxing or you can go to the other side of the island like Koh Amparo right here where they're gonna have some beach clubs
But even then that's still very secluded beach clubs that are like high-end very fancy stuff
So the next one that we're gonna talk about
Is we're gonna head back over towards the u.s. And we're gonna head to Mexico. So in Mexico
They have an area in the Baja right here
this area right here known as La Paz a
Very popular place is right here in this little area Playa Balandra and you could see right here
There's a couple different beaches. They actually call this the best beach in Mexico some people who've been the people who've been there
It's like a paradise right here Playa Balandra. So add that to your list. There's Playa Bonita
But if you even go over here to Tecolote or Tecolote
Playa Escondida lots of seclusion out here on the Baja and there's a couple islands out here like Isla Espirito
Santo very cool beach and I'm not just saying that look at this place
I mean if you guys even go on to this Google Maps and you just type it in right here
I mean, these are like island paradises. Okay right here Bahia de San Gabriel. This is an island right off the Baja
That's in La Paz. You can get a flight down there to La Paz. It's north of Cabo San Lucas. Everyone goes to Cabo San Lucas
Yeah, they've got a few beaches around Cabo where you can get some peace and quiet
but that area around La Paz right here by
Isla Espirito, that's where you want to go if you want peace and quiet
You could also add Laredo to that list, which we were just talking about the other day
Laredo's got some peace and quiet around these islands
The thing is you want to get closer to the islands in the Baja in the Gulf of California
That's the Sea of Cortez right there. That's where the paradise is. If you go to the other side over here. It's really cooking hot
It's not as great. It's the Pacific Ocean side
but the cool thing about this area is this is this is the birthing lagoons for the
Gray whales so you can have some of the most incredible
Interactions with gray whales right here in Puerto Magdalena
Isla Santa Margarita, they actually have four different lagoons where the cap where they rear the calves at and
They say right in these areas in these lagoons where the gray whales go
You don't watch the whales the whales watch you like they come right up next to you and they like look you I and I
That's those videos you see on Instagram and Facebook going viral where people are getting right next to those whales
They're on the Pacific Coast like by Elvis Cajino and Baja, California del Sur
So I know that's important for some people who are in the wildlife to get all the good stuff. What's up Titus?
How's it going, man? Good to see you
And then so we're gonna pull back out here and now we're gonna go south into Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a really popular place
But it's got beaches after beaches after beaches
My favorite area that I'm gonna recommend to you for peace and quiet is this southern part of Nicoya Peninsula right here
This is called Nicoya. You can see Gulf of Nicoya right here. Some people call it Punta Reina's
Put the Reina's is right here, but the Gulf of Nicoya right here and Nicoya Peninsula
they got more centurions living out there than anywhere else in the world aside from like Greece and
Okinawa so people who live out here they live to be like a hundred years old
It's something in the air out there in Nicoya
But even if you go further south, there's a couple of beach areas down here by a Corcovado
But if you go north the Corcovado where all the animals are, that's where the animal wildlife is
They don't have very many beaches. It's it's just overrun by like trees and vegetation
but down here they have Uvita in
Dominical and this whole little area right here. You can get like your own
Beach area no problem. I mean, it's not very populated. They call it Balena. Balena is whale again
Another one of those areas where they're gonna have whales just kind of hanging out on the coast. They call it the whale tail
this is actually called
National Marina Balena because they say if you look at it up close
it looks like a whale's tail because what happens is when the tide goes out this little area and then they have the
Rocks right here and you can actually walk out there at sunset and they have some
You know waterfalls and everything. I'll actually show you a little bit about that area
This area right here is that Uvita Marina Balena that I was telling you guys about
Thank you to everyone who's already hit the likes and help them get this video out there
So the next place I want to tell you guys about is going to be
Africa Zanzibar, so you can get a really great experience. I think we talked about it in the last video
I don't know if you guys tuned in but I was telling you guys about the area around
Tanzania so Tanzania has this area called Zanzibar and
Zanzibar is where everyone's trying to get to for these beautiful waters
This beautiful experience. It's an island off Tanzania right here, but you can see all up and down here just
Beautiful beaches. It's green friendly people
Right here Zanzibar add it to your list, but you can see there's the ocean all up and down here
There's not a lot of people. It's not overcrowded. It's not over tourists
That's what's happened to a lot of the main beaches out in the world
So many tourists have gone to these places when you go there. It's not even relaxing
It's like stressful because there's so many people at these destinations
Brandon says hey Jeff. What is your favorite non-tourist Beach in Florida?
Well, actually, I don't know if you were watching the beginning of the video here
but we did talk about the area around it's called the Forgotten Coast and why do you think they call it the Forgotten Coast because
It seems like everywhere else in Florida gets attention except for this little place, but it's basically the Cape Sandblast
St. George Island Indian Pass. It's a place to get relaxation. I'm not gonna say it's the absolute favorite
I love the Keys who doesn't love the Keys, but they have these really nice islands right here
These capes and the beaches are awesome. The water is warm, especially in the summertime and this area around
Apalachicola so right here Port st. Joe this whole area Dog Island
You want to get out to these islands you can see you they have a bridge that'll take you out there
St. Joe st. George Island is the name of the one that I really like but I'm dropping that information for you
I might even make a full video because I have a full I've filmed a full travel guide of that area that I actually never
Published so you guys can tell me which ones your favorite
Secluded beaches, but this is really my list that I've really dialed in here
For the for the top secluded places. I didn't want to go all across the board and give you too much information
But if you guys want some peace and quiet
You can also find that out in the South China Sea the Philippine Sea Philippines has I think over 7,000 islands
Indonesia has a lot of islands
Philippines is a little bit easier to get around. I found
Then Indonesia Indonesia is really nice. Also, I mean they got Sulawesi. They also have some of the best
Snorkeling and diving you can find in but they have Banda Ark right here. Let's see. What was that one?
There's there's really amazing diving around this whole area right here and Maluku see
Yeah, it's just fantastic in that whole Banda area right there that's that's Banda Ark
So if you guys are looking for really great diving check out that area around Indonesia, it'll blow your mind
They have Raja Ampat down there. Let's see if I can find Raja Ampat. Oh
Man, that's a hard one to find Raja Ampat. Anyway, you guys gotta look it up our AJ a on pot
It's like a secret place
I mean
it's a place where there's so much wildlife in the water that you're swimming with manta rays and sharks and big fish and maybe even
Occasional whale shark all right there in this area. It's it's really close to West Papua, which is
Uri and Jaya the old name Uri and Jaya. This is where they have a lot of
Mines, there was a lot of big mining Freeport MacMoran right here. You can see Sulawesi right here
This is this is like tough territory
But that's where you want to go, but I like Philippines because they got around 7,000 islands
Palawan lots of beaches there, but some of the beaches that I like her in this little area right around here
Okay, this is north of Mindanao
they got behold and then they have a couple of a little island down here like sequoia and they also have
Pong Lao I went to pong Lao we put a video on there and I really like that one
It Chimay says do you have a video that follows the old route 66? No, I don't I
That there's basically
US Highway, what is it 80?
She's talking about this right here. So this is the old route 66 right here now. It's
Essentially a highway 40 it goes through Winslow, Arizona, you know standing on the corner and Winslow, Arizona
But such a fine sight to see it connects all the way to Williams like if you go from Winslow to Williams you'll see
Route 66 it's kind of like some some of route 40 is
Mixed in with hot route 66 and Arizona's actually got the famous part of route 66, you know
but I would say most of the famous stuff probably happens from the Colorado over to
It probably extends a little bit into
New Mexico around Gallup, I think Gallup's out there, but other than that, I mean, there's not much else to see
I mean, I know the closer you get to Texas. It's kind of like what is there to see in, Texas?
Is that for I don't know. I mean Texas, you know how that is. But anyway guys, thanks for watching
Thanks for crushing up the likes drop a comment
Let me know what kind of live streams you guys want to engage with. Like I said, you guys want to see the stores
I also put
Some links to Marriott Bonvoy you can get signed up for the Marriott Bonvoy
Cards, okay, if that's something that you're into you can get the American Express cards
Those are ones that I really like or you can shop around on
This travel store that I've created. This is the stuff that I actually
Travel with I don't travel with all of it every time. It's a lot of items actually
I'm like, how did I fit all that in my suitcase?
But I think I do so I use a hardshell suitcase
I could probably dial this whole video in on what exactly that I use and wear
When I'm out there, but you can see I really like the brand called Osprey for backpacks
And I like Vanguard for suitcases. I go with Samsonite hardshells. That's just my personal preference
Some people use Swiss gear I've used Swiss gear
But I stick with Osprey for my backpacks or Vanguard for my travel bags. I go with Apple Mac for
Computers I use DJI products for my cameras and I use one GoPro. Although GoPro needs to get it together
Then I just put some of like the watches I can like I said, I can make a more detailed video about this
I use these flip-flops from Ola Kai. I love that brand. I always take a good pair of Nikes for off off-roading
Walking off-road and then just some of the things you need for getting around
In the country I can make a more detailed video and in that it's up Salvador and
So, let me know if you guys want what kind of videos more beaches more islands more travel tips
What it is you guys are looking for before I get out there and start traveling again
I won't be doing these lives as much so we'll see you guys on the next one
