When I Met You | Alyssa & Colin | Mt. Vernon Canyon Club

Alyssa, from the first night that we met, I felt like everything led me to you. We lived two blocks away from each other for over a year, passing by each other not realizing that we were meant to be. Then our universes collided because you were bold enough to say hello. The boldness was the first thing I ever admired about you, and I'm still amazed every day that 1DM led us here. When I look at you and look into our future, I see a husband that will be a true life partner. I see a loyal, intelligent, and empathetic person, and in true form, a man that will always be chiseled even when the wrinkles start to take over. I see a best friend that will continue to cry with me at Pixar movies and eat shawarma and donuts until our hearts content. I see us saving our pennies so that we can travel to the destinations we always wanted to explore. I see us going on adventures that fulfill our childlike wonder, and if the day comes that we do have a child, I know that you would make the most incredible, adoring father. Since day one, you've had a profound effect on my life. You've made me a better man, more patient, calm, caring, and thoughtful. You make me want to give you the best version of myself every day. I've been introduced to so many skincare products and know more about makeup products than I ever thought I would, but jokes aside, when you look at me with those stunning eyes, all I can see is our amazing future together and the joy that we'll share. On the first night that we met, it was next to the dumpster in a Jalisco parking lot, king of romance, am I right? And you told me you were looking for your person. I think right then and there, I knew you had found her. There was no aha moment because it felt so obvious from day one. For the first time in my life, my heart feels safe in someone else's hands. I can move fearlessly through life knowing that you're by my side no matter what. You have become the most important person in my life and have brought me more joy than I could ever imagine when I drew my perfect partner even as a kid. This all started because of a walk, seeing you walking down the street. And over the years, we've cumulatively trekked thousands of miles together on our daily walks with our dogs through various parks in various states through the rain, snow, and the sun. Starting now, I can't wait to see what's in store for us as we walk down our newest route together as husband and wife. You may now kiss your bride. To Allie and Colin, may your marriage be filled with love, laughter, happiness, and success for years to come. I love both of you guys very much. Let the good times roll. There's a dream of mine that my daughter would find the best man for her. Colin, you are that man. Colin, I am proud and thrilled to have you as my new son-in-law and you are a wonderful addition to our family. In closing, you two will have such a wonderful marriage. You both have so much to give to one another. Between the both of you, there is so much admiration, love, strength, and determination. As soon as Colin brought Alyssa home to meet our family, everything immediately clicked. And I sensed that this would bloom into something special that would last a lifetime. All it takes is a few moments in the same room as these two to see why they were meant for each other. You've often referred to yourself as the black sheep of the family, but I truly believe you've accomplished so much more than you realize. Moving across the country multiple times and starting fresh with new careers takes incredible courage and determination. While you say you look up to me, I want you to know that I look up to you for your boldness and resilience. I can never take those kind of risks. I'm too much of a planner and I thank dad for that. With all that being said, Colin and Aly, I'm truly happy for both of you. I wish you nothing but love, friendship, and a beautiful journey forward in his next chapter.
