Last night we had a one in a million situation.
Halliburton came back to the crime scene and put on a show.
Kawhi Leonard replicated the dagger in his debut.
You know, he loves those threes
That same corner
Flashback so buckle up cuz we're starting off
in OKC where Halliburton came out furious
Caruso's guarding, see I come coming out in transition Halliburton
on the baseline hits the jumper play just 24 games last year
assortment of injuries here's a long three good about it, too
Look at Tyrese blocking the shot
on one end and then swishing
the second straight triple
from way downtown for 8 quick points
in just 4 minutes of action. Let's go!
Then we saw a great example
of the new rule about off-arm push-offs as Shea got called
for the offensive foul here. Halliburton on the other end continued to cook.
The first glimpses of Halliburton and Zubats are promising,
but we already know how deadly
are SGA's moves.
Shay gets away
from the defense twice
with the silky step through
and adds a
little bit of sauce for a better taste.
Just an elite finisher around the rim. Halliburton saw
that and decided to put his full arsenal
on display in the second quarter.
two more. Williams missed it. Challenged by Zubats.
Pacers on the run. Halliburton show
goal. Left hand puts it in. He's got 16.
Halliburton is going to launch again for three.
This one good again. Four of them for Tyrese Halliburton.
He's got 19 first half points.
Halliburton was unconscious in the first half,
scoring 24 points on 9 of 14 shooting from the field.
Threes, layups, middies, you name it, he was doing it all.
He's officially back.
And SGA responded to that with 15 points
and 6 assists of his own on 5 of 6 shooting.
With both guys out in the second half, McCain and Mara took over.
Geez, they completely faked out
the entire Pacers team on that play.
Amazing.
And speaking of amazing things,
it was pretty cool to see Kawhi Leonard back in a Raptors jersey.
And not only that, he put up a vintage performance.
He's going to tell you where he wants it.
That's why it's important for him to know the personalities.
Know what buttons to push.
You see the nice turnaround jump shot.
Raptors fans were buzzing for every bucket that Klaw made,
and at the start of the second
period he
reminded
everyone of an
iconic moment.
Are you kidding me? Leonard revives
the epic dagger against Philly in his first game back
in Toronto. This must be scripted.
Jokes aside, the fun guy looked great on the court and
in 17 minutes he put up 21 points,
5 boards and 2 steals on 50% efficiency. But the top
The top two plays of the game belong
to none other than Colin Murray-Boyles.
Murray Boyles put James Wiseman on a poster with the thunderous jam.
The 21-year-old stuffed the box score with 19 points
and 9 rebounds on a perfect 7-of-7
from the field in just 16 minutes of playing time.
They have great hopes around him in Toronto.
Scottie Barnes added 19 points as well
on 80% efficiency as the Raptors steamrolled past the
Knicks. And in Orlando, the Magic did the same thing,
obliterating the Cavs wire-to-wire behind
and Ben Carros and Wagner's 44 points combined
on a blistering 74% shooting from the field.
But in the meantime, a one-in-a-million situation happened.
Noah Penda goes for the dunk but the ball bounces off his face,
goes out of the rim and then falls back in.
This got everyone confused and after the replay the
refs called it an offensive interference.
You see, it's not counted as a basket until the ball goes
completely through the net,
so the hanging was illegal for the later shot. Damn, he almost broke
his nose but he couldn't get the two points.
On the other side, the newest Cavalier made sure to
throw it down with force.
From one foot back slam to another,
we got Walker Kessler catching
Yaxel by surprise. The big man had
a pretty solid debut
for the purple and gold in Vegas,
putting up 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting
to go along with 9 boards and 3 blocks.
he's definitely a force in the paint.
And Austin Reeves was on another level in the first half.
Now he dives below Richard Babu with four to shoot.
Babu drive. Kick. Three. Perfectly done.
Reeves. Here he goes. All the way.
Boy, that quickness right off the dribble, Stu.
Once again, the Lakers have numbers going the other way. Five on three.
Reeves open on his way. Down it goes.
AR-15 took off in the second period,
scoring 8 of his 28 points in less than 60 seconds.
The Lakers were in total control when
Mamu delivered the play of the game.
Sandro exploded along the baseline for the reverse
dunk over Yaxel. However, Lindenburg did bounce back,
playing with a lot of hustle in this one.
The Warriors rookie put up a strong all-around performance
of 17 points, 5 boards, 4 assists
and 2 steals while diving, jumping
and fighting for every loose ball.
Yaxel is one sturdy dude, and so is Danny Avdija,
a.k.a. the And One Specialist.
Danny
was a dog against
the Kings, racking
up 26 points
in 24 minutes
on 9 of 13 from
the field, completing 4 different and ones.
And I don't know how Morant was able
to complete this one because…
Ja almost lost the ball but then somehow gathered it back
and laid it in the basket.
And here's one crazy wrap around pass
to Kamara in the corner.
In 23 minutes off the bench,
Ja was super efficient and ethical, scoring 14 points on
4 of 6 shooting and dropping 6 dimes without committing
a single turnover.
Now that's the Ja they need.
And the league as a whole desperately needed
this electric duo to happen.
Hunt and LaMelo turned into Splash Brothers 2.0 just 2 days ago,
and I got it all right
here in this video.
So check it out and talk to you in the next one.
Peace out.
