VEGAN FOOD AT PONCE CITY MARKET | VLOG Day 7

Jess Chanel here. Hey guys, Jess Chanel here. Welcome to my channel back with another birthday vlog. Let's get into my Bible reading this morning. Of course I'm using my SheReadsTruth app and we are on Joshua. This is the Old Testament. I'm going to listen to the Bible reading on my other phone. I love using the YouVersion Bible app to listen to scripture like while I'm getting ready for the day. So we're reading Joshua chapter 1 verses 1 through 18 this morning. Joshua chapter 1. The Lord's charge to Joshua. After the death of Moses, the Lord's servant, the Lord spoke to Joshua, son of Nun, Moses' assistant. He said, Moses, my servant, is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them. I promise you what I promised Moses. Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you. From the Negev wilderness in the south to the Lebanon mountains in the north. From the Euphrates River in the east to the Mediterranean Sea in the west, including all the land of the Hittites. No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live, for I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you. Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this book of instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command, be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. This is why I absolutely love She Reads Truth y'all. We actually studied the book of Joshua a few months back. This is an in-depth study book on the entire book of Joshua. So this was one of my favorites just knowing the story from like Exodus and then how um you know the Israelites were released from slavery in Egypt and you know how they were in the wilderness all this time and then in Joshua we have you know where Joshua and Caleb basically take over and all of the older Israelites have passed away and then they're crossing into the promised land. So continuously in the scripture God tells Joshua be strong, be courageous and actually the scripture that we memorized in this book was Joshua 1.9 and that's why it's so like that's why I love these books because this was months ago and I literally still remember the scripture y'all. Joshua 1.9 be strong, be courageous, do not be afraid, do not be discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go and I absolutely love this scripture especially when I'm flying. It's like one of those verses that pop in my head every time I look out the window of a plane. I'm just like the Lord is with you wherever you go like even in these clouds girl he really up here okay. So yes let's see what She Reads Truth says about Joshua today. I'm in the app here. I'm going to use my little base Fanny pack sport pack for the first time but um so the She Reads Truth app it says what is Joshua? The book of Joshua records God's fulfillment in the renewed covenant in Deuteronomy and describes Israel's entry into the promised land under Joshua's guidance. How Joshua fits into the story? Joshua narrates Israel's journey to the promised land where the nation received its promised inheritance. Miraculous events such as the crossing of the Jordan River mark the Israelites journey. God gave Israel victories but each victory required a step of faith. God's holiness and provision are evident throughout this book reminding future generations of his covenant faithfulness to his people. So of course the reflection questions in light of Joshua 1, how does the promise of God's presence change how you live? And question number 2, how does today's reading shape your understanding of the story of redemption? The Instagram post today actually highlights Joshua 1 9 the Lord your God is with you so I'm going to share that to my story today. I'm at the chiropractor's chiropractor and I'm about to get on this massage bed and then just get adjusted um so yeah trying to help my back feel a little bit better. I need color. you know before I leave. Here's something new a mediterranean market we have king of pops of course lucky lotus which I believe is like a juice bar situation um and then I've tried this place right here it's really good japanese inspired asian inspired cuisine um I've had oh this place too you guys remember when I did that food tour here like years ago I did a pond city market food tour and I went to like 10 different spots and just ate a bunch of food it was so fun um this is a mexican restaurant super good I had a burger down there there's like a charcuterie place somewhere around but I know there's a vegan bar as well so I'm gonna try to find that bar vegan it's okay if I just sit here oh this is so cute oh thanks yeah look at this this is black owned isn't it super cute these are the type of like style boosts I would have in a tea shop so cute okay I'm gonna sit at the bar let's take a peek at the menu they have vegan cocktails of course I'm not drinking so that's a no-go um but the menu is pretty simple we have some side items here sweet potato tots and then I guess there's just like tacos so you have a beef jerk chicken tacos um there's impossible meat like a philly the menu is pretty small so I guess it's like a cute place to come get drinks I'm gonna see if the chef would be down to just make me like one jerk chicken vegan jerk chicken taco like they dress this one and then they left the others plain obviously this is vegan cheese as well and I realized like the reason why they don't have a lot of food is because it's really a bar like it's that's how they're marketing it I'm gonna try the one that's dressed because I like my tacos like that oh actually I think the one that's dressed is like a beef piece of vegan meat here all right did not really I'm not a fan of a lot of sauce y'all like I if it's soft it needs to taste like it was literally blended in a blender like super fresh fragrant and I believe that they're like partners with slutty vegan um and that's something that I actually dislike about slutty vegan as well they put so much sauce on their burgers so yeah I wasn't a fan I probably definitely actually would not eat there again however I'm lost um I'm sure the drinks are good so maybe like when I start drinking again I'll go back and grab a cocktail and see if those are nice it looks like a great spot to like grab drinks with friends they have a um like an event kind of space room and the decor is super super chic got some vegan burgers this smells so good like wow wow I think it's like short ribs too bad it can't happen they said that the impossible meat has like a ton of herbs and spices and the bread is vegan too I'm not very familiar with vegan stuff but this is my cheat for the week oh girl this is fire I eat this on a regular wow that look at this just stepped outside super cute t-shirts like stand where you can get your logo on a shirt your photo on a shirt boom and time to get to work I have some tea here this is the new mango tango we also got new packaging in for the birthday collection so I have a few different styles going but obviously everything's somewhat like you know golden white the brand color green and let me show you all the mango tango up close my little personal stash here this is a green tea high in caffeine nice and natural boost of energy with dried mango pieces it smells so good super fragrant naturally sweetened perfect as a pre-workout or like a midday pick-me-up so yeah go grab that on the site right now um I think I'm gonna make a popsicle with this tomorrow a popsicle would be dope like blended with some frozen mango all right y'all working we are doing a bogo sale tomorrow tomorrow June 8th is national best friends day um so we figured you know pamper yourself and your bestie with some quality it's valid on all tea blends and also mantra bracelets we have a new style it says more precious than gold and sweeter than honey part of the birthday collection so I am just looking at some marketing examples here I'll show you guys for emails and also text message marketing I think I'm going to go ahead and give our tea squad the text messaging marketing tea squad early access to the sale um and I also have to do inventory so I'll be probably doing inventory for the next few hours just to make sure that you know all the numbers are correct because generally when we have a bogo sale you guys like to stock up a lot on your favorite blends and also try new teas bomb new teas to try definitely mango tango what I'm drinking right now and then coconut guava is great as well and I'll have a recipe a martini recipe actually coming super soon with that tea so yeah let me show you guys um this little breakdown and then we're going to get to drafting text messages and emails this is the SMS bump what we use this is the platform we use for text message marketing and to join the text message list it's super easy all you have to do is go to the website shopquality.com and there is a little join the tea squad tab down here click that put your phone number in and yep that's it you get all exclusive deals straight to your phone but this pretty much gives us the perfect like layout for text messages great ideas um there's three examples here exactly like how you can word things based off the deals you plan to do and it's just really helpful and then we also have a full calendar for the month of June so it literally tells you like all the days in June national smile day who would have known national splurge day girl we gonna spend some money ain't we and that's close to Juneteenth don't play with us uh we have father's day of course got to take care of the dad's the first day of summer and then all these other days don't even matter because it makes my birthday week so no i'm just kidding just finished inventory these are the teas that are running low so we have immunity and perfection there's only three each of those also a few that are running low lemon chamomile lavender latte love that liver okay you already know i literally just made two batches two days ago saturday was today monday yeah so i literally made two big batches of love thy liver two days ago already had a bunch bags because i always like to keep it ready but i will not be making more this month because i'm focused on spring teas summer teas the birthday collection um so yeah just continued like a ton of teas you guys probably saw that in some of the other vlogs but we also just sold out of free samples so what i'm going to do um i'm hoping everybody was able to get a sample i had like 200 available so thank you guys so much for going to the site and grabbing a free sample the majority of them have already been shipped out i'll be sure to ship out the rest tomorrow since we're out of free samples i'm going to go ahead and add a request to sample tab to the website so if you ever see a blend that you want to request a sample of or you just want to request a sample of let's say a caffeine free blend or green tea blend like maybe you really just don't know what you want you can request a sample answer a few questions and we will ship you out a sample with some logo filter bags so that you can make your own tea and kind of get a feel for exactly what you like um there's just going to be a limit i'm thinking to do a limit of like two or three i used to have samples available for each tea but honestly like having samples and full size and samplers is a lot so i think this is like just a better way to do it here's a few samples we will be packaging up for the request to sample now so these are newer teas more popular teas um lemon chamomile we have a golden hazelnut here sun-kissed citrus vanilla cream summer eye candy georgia peach lavender latte royalty basically any tea okay all the teas that are in stock um i'm gonna make some pineapple raspberry rose samples and blueberry kiwi refresher samples i already have the bags over here nice and labeled ready to go and yes i'm i'm on miss america right now um and so i think there's two more juices after this one today i'm gonna take my detox tablets as well y'all the juice it tastes like a jolly rancher this is hercules hercules it's my second favorite next to the hemp seed milk this is bomb i think it's the mango it gives it just this nice sweet thickness you know what i mean but
