Van Life Week 8 l Mt. Rainier & Prusik Peak

Crossing into Washington, we make our way to Mt. Rainier. Although it's too late in the season to do the Liberty Ridge route, we enjoy several hikes around the volcano and vow to return for mountaineering next year. Then, we backpack the famous Washington Enchantments to climb Prusik Peak (West Ridge, 5.8 finger crack). While the hike up Aasgard Pass took much longer than anticipated with a heavy pack, the clean granite and great finger crack were worth it. KB
