TRYING THE REMINGTON WET 2 STYLE BLOW DRYER ON CURLY HAIR - HONEST OPINION

Hey guys, welcome back to my YouTube channel. If you're new here, I'm Jalissa. Today I'm going to be trying a very requested hair tool. I'm going to be trying the Remington Wet 2 Style. This only retails for $40 and I got this at Target. I'm going to link it down below if you guys want to check it out. But today's video is actually sponsored by Supergoop. I know summer is coming up so you should definitely wear it in the summer, but also in the winter whenever you're exposed to the sun because the sun can actually make your dark spots even darker and I have a lot of dark spots. But if I don't wear sunscreen, those dark spots get even darker over time. So I also like that sunscreen helps your skin to just look a lot more rejuvenated over time and it kind of prevents your skin from getting wrinkly. I have been wearing sunscreen for a while. For years now. My skincare routine definitely every single day has sunscreen. I've tried other sunscreen products that just really make my skin kind of break out. It irritates my skin. It's just very heavy on my skin. My skin is a little bit more sensitive and I feel like this one doesn't make me break out. It doesn't leave a white cast. It doesn't make my skin look super greasy or oily. If you do have more dry skin, they do have other ones that give you a little bit more of a glow, but I like this one. I love this one and I love the matte one as well. The matte sunscreen leaves your skin looking more matte. Another product that I absolutely love from Supergoop and I always have in my purse is this one. This is the Resetting 100% Mineral Powder and this is awesome to use on the go. I just use this to protect my skin from the sun, but I also like that this kind of makes my skin look a little bit more matte. I get very oily on my T-zone, but whenever I feel like my skin is looking too shiny, I'll just use this and kind of just apply it and I don't know if you can see, but it immediately made my skin look a lot more matte. This product I always have in my purse. I take it with me literally everywhere and this is in the shade medium. I think they have a couple of shades. You guys just love it when I try out new blow dryer brushes, especially drugstore ones I feel because they're just a lot more affordable and I mean if something can work and it's $40, like why would you go ahead and spend triple the money on another hair tool that might do the same thing, right? So yeah, let's try it and see how this works. So already I really like the size of this brush. It is pretty much like the same size as the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Vitamizer. It's very big. I feel like it's definitely going to grab a lot of hair. I just hope that this is very gentle on my hair. I hope it's not damaging. I hope it doesn't burn my hair. That's my biggest concern. I am going to actually prep my hair first before I try this. I need to take care of my hair at Heat Protectant and I actually wanted to try, I mean I tried this before just once, but I wanted to try it again. This is the Color Wow Dream Cocktail Coconut Infused Leave-In Treatment and it's supposed to make your hair a lot more smooth, less frizzy. You style this with heat so that it can activate. It's definitely the perfect product to use right before a blowout. I'm going to add a little bit more. It smells amazing. It literally does smell like coconut. Wow, my hair does feel very, very soft. I am going to start with the bottom section and work my way up. One thing that I noticed about this hair tool that I don't really like is the cord. It is so small. It's so short. It is kind of like the Revlon original, which is very short. I 100% prefer very long cords, like the Dyson cord, but I know Dyson is like so expensive. But anyways, I'm going to do this section and let's try it. As you can see, the brush itself is pretty nice because it has boar and nylon bristles, so it's definitely going to smooth out my hair, so I'm excited about that. So this actually has two heat settings and two speech settings and a cool shot. So it definitely is a little bit more advanced than the Revlon already, so that's pretty cool. So we're going to do the highest heat setting and the highest speech. So let's go. It's down here, by the way. I don't like the way this smells. It's giving me that plastic-y, burning smell. So maybe it's because it's new. I don't know. It definitely is drying my hair very quickly, though. Like faster than your other blow dryer brushes. Okay, so here's the first section. It definitely dried my hair so quickly, and my hair is very soft, very smooth. It looks super straight. So yeah, I'm just going to have to keep using it, and I'll finish this side and come back with my thoughts, and then I'll do all my hair. But so far, not bad. I just really hope that this isn't damaging over time, but it feels great. It could be the color Wow. It could be the products that I used in the shower, but it feels great so far. All right, guys. So here's the first side done. I still have to shape the front a little bit more. Once I do this side, I'm just going to give it a little bit of volume. But so far, my hair is so sleek, and this dried my hair very quickly, and it doesn't feel super hot or damaging. As a first impression, I really like this so far, and it's not really pulling my hair too much. It's actually very gentle on my hair. But yeah, so far, I like it. I'm going to do this side now, and I'm going to let you guys know how long it took me to do just this one side, and I'll be back with the final look. All right, guys. I'm back, and this is the final look. What do you guys think? I think my hair looks so smooth for 40 bucks. What? So yeah, definitely like the results. I think my hair looks very shiny. I love this color. Wow. Leave-in treatment, definitely recommend checking it out. It left my hair super soft and shiny, and it just looks pretty healthy, in my opinion. This also dried my hair very quickly. This side took me 23 minutes to do, and this side usually takes me a little bit longer than this side because it is curlier. So 23 minutes for just one side is not bad at all. It usually takes me at least like 40 minutes to do all my hair. But yeah, what do you guys think? I think it looks super nice. I think my hair looks overall pretty smooth. Of course, I still have some waves back here, but that is normal. That always happens because my hair is very curly, but this side looks very, very smooth. So what do you guys think? Let me know in the comments below. I do have some pros and cons. So I'll just start with the cons. I just don't like that the cord is so small. Short cords are a little bit uncomfortable to use, especially when you travel because a hotel room, for example, might not have a bunch of outlets around, and maybe the outlets aren't close to the mirrors. And it's just, if you have a longer cord, you can kind of move it around more and take it wherever you want to go. So yeah, I just prefer longer cords 100%. But I mean, this is only $40, so you can't ask for much, you know? But it does have a nice swivel cord, and I didn't feel like this pulled my hair. I did notice that my hair was getting stuck right here sometimes. So just keep that in mind. If you have the hair tool too low like this, your hair around the hair tool will kind of get stuck in there. So just always try to keep it pretty high up. But it's not bad. It doesn't get stuck too often. I also don't like that the tip gets very hot. It is not a cool tip. So it's just very hard to be able to grab the hair tool and just use both hands whenever you want to do that. I do that sometimes, especially with the top section. And I just felt like this got so hot, like it was so hot I could not touch it. So it's definitely not a cool tip. But overall, I do feel like this is definitely worth it so far. I tried it once. I do have some pros. So I really like the brush. I feel like it's very nice for smoothing out my curly hair. I like that it has the boar and nylon bristles. And it doesn't really pull my hair. I really like that this is a big size brush. So it does kind of dry my hair a little bit quicker. I can grab a lot of hair with it. Honestly felt like this dried my hair so fast. And I left my hair super smooth for 40 bucks. That's another thing that I like about this hair tool. It's only $40. Like $40 is so affordable. Remington actually has a couple of really cool hair tools. I really like their hot rollers as well. So I'll link that down below if you guys want to check it out. But I also really like that this has two heat settings and two speeds, which is something that you don't find in hair tools that are this affordable. And it also has a cool shot. So yeah, I actually am pretty impressed with this one. I like that this is detachable, just in case if they decide to come out with other brushes, other attachments, other sizes for this hair tool. That would be pretty cool. And it's also just easier to store when you're able to detach the brush. It's easier for traveling to fit it in your bag. So yeah, guys, I think that's all I have to say about this hair tool. I really like it. I think you guys should definitely check it out.
