TRYING THE FAKE DYSON AIRWRAP FROM WALMART - ONLY 40 😱

Hey guys, welcome back to my YouTube channel. If you're new here, I'm Jalissa. In today's video, I'm going to be trying the $40 Dyson Airwrap Dupe from Walmart. So Walmart right now has this blow dryer for $40 and let's see if this is going to give me tight looking curls. I've tried Dyson Airwrap Dupes before and none of them are as good as the Dyson Airwrap honestly, but we're just going to try it. Let's get right into the video. I'm going to do all my hair with the fake Dyson Airwrap. I have never done all my hair with the Dupe. So I'm also going to be doing my little foam hack. You just put a little bit of foam right here on the brush and then you add this to your hair and that's supposed to give you longer lasting curls with the Dyson Airwrap. It has like the other drying attachment and also like a paddle brush attachment, but I I'm just going to use the curling attachments. So yeah, let's try this. So this also has arrows just kind of indicating what side it's going to curl. This is what it looks like. And then on this side, it has three different heat settings. So I'm going to use it in the highest heat setting. So this one's actually for this side, as you can see, it's kind of going away from the face. So it's going to curl away from the face. So I'm going to take this out and I'm going to put this one on. So this one is the barrel for this side because it's going this way. So yeah, let's try it. So I'm going to put foam on all my hair, on all the sections, but I'm going to do just one without the foam, just so you guys can see the difference. So it definitely doesn't do the Kwanzaa effect as good as the Dyson Airwrap, just like the other dupes that I have tried, but let's see. Woo! This gets so hot. Wow. And I'm also definitely used to the longer barrels from the Dyson Airwrap. I just stopped using the short barrels because I have pretty long hair. So let's see what it looks like. Okay. Not bad at all. I mean, the other dupes that I have tried are like pretty much the same thing as this one. Really. They're probably from the same manufacturer, but yeah, it looks good. It's probably going to look even better with the foam. So let's try that. Like I said, the Kwanzaa effect isn't as good as the Dyson Airwrap because, I mean, I feel like Dyson probably invented that. I think they did. So I just put a little bit of foam on my brush, a little bit of this Whey Foam. I'm going to link it down below. It is kind of like a mousse. By the way, the cord of this hair tool is so short. So that's something that I don't really like about this. Woo! It gets hotter than the Dyson Airwrap. So that's how I know that this is like not... I feel like this is like damaging to my hair a little. Okay, I'm going to release the curl. Woo! Okay, so this also does not have a cool shop, so you can't really set the curl, but this gets too hot. Look at that curl. Not bad. There's no way that this is healthy for my hair. Like I can kind of tell when something is like too rough on my hair. And this is definitely being a little rough on my hair. Um, so don't use this too often because this could be damaging to your hair. I feel like this could definitely be damaging to your hair, so just keep that in mind. Be very careful. The Dyson Airwrap has really good technology that is not as damaging as other hair tools. So, yeah, just keep that in mind when you are buying a dupe like this. I feel like this is literally burning my hair and I'm scared. It's like you can see the smoke and it's just kind of scary. Honestly. But look at these curls. No, I'm just kidding. I mean, the curls look good, but yeah, it gets too hot. I'm going to try it in the second heat setting. Let's see what that could do. Okay. Wow, you see, this was the first curl that I did without the foam and it's already fallen. Yeah, that foam definitely helps. And I do it all the time with my Dyson Airwrap and my curls definitely last way longer. So, yeah, try that foam trick. I'm going to link down below everything that I use in this video, even the Dyson Airwrap. If you want to buy the Dyson Airwrap, I like it better. I'm going to do this small section. I'm trying to take pretty small sections because since this is like the shorter barrel, it's not like the long Dyson Airwrap barrel, it's not going to grab as much hair. I'm kind of used to using the longer barrels now for the Dyson Airwrap. I'm just going to use this in the second heat setting. I feel like the third heat setting is way too hot and I could just see the smoke everywhere and I'm just scared. So, I'm just going to use this in the second heat setting. Still very hot in the second heat setting. I'm telling you, my Dyson Airwrap does not get this hot. Yeah, I can't leave that on my hair for too long, but wow, look, that is beautiful. Super cute. Yeah, I mean, I'm getting very pretty curls. I guess I'm just going to do all my hair and I'll be back with the final look and my final thoughts. But yeah, so far, this definitely gets very, very hot, even in the second heat setting. But, killing my hair. The only thing that I don't like is that I have to take very small sections, so it's going to take me super long to do all my hair. Alright guys, I am all done curling my hair. It took me so long to do all my hair. Like, this definitely does not compare to the Dyson Airwrap. This does not dry my hair as quickly as the Dyson Airwrap, there's no way. But, it definitely, you know, gets the job done. It definitely did curl my hair. And yeah, I actually really like the final look. I feel like this only takes very, very small sections and this does not really do the Kwanzaa effect as well as the Dyson Airwrap. The Kwanzaa effect is actually when the hair tool is able to kind of like wrap the hair around, like on its own, with like air. This didn't really have the best Kwanzaa effect, I guess. Only if you take very, very small sections, but like very small sections. But, I really like how my hair turned out. I feel like it looks very shiny. The curls are definitely falling already. So, you would definitely have to set these curls if you want them to last a little bit longer. I feel like the Dyson Airwrap gives me tighter curls with the foam. Without the foam, I definitely have to add hairspray or I have to set the curls for a little bit so that the curls can last a little bit longer. But, the Dyson Airwrap does give me better and longer lasting curls. Overall, this is not bad, but I don't see myself reaching for this just because I do have the Dyson Airwrap and I like it a lot more, but the Dyson Airwrap is very expensive. But yeah, the final look is okay. I definitely have just like waves by now. Like my hair is just like, my curls are falling. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments down below. I do feel like this could be very damaging to your hair, so be very careful. This got super, super hot, very smoky, and it just didn't feel right. It felt like it was burning my hair, so that's another reason why I wouldn't use this again. Just be very careful if you do buy this. If you want to use this to curl your hair maybe like once in a blue moon, not too often, then maybe this could work. But, if you want to use this like for an everyday type of thing, I don't recommend it because it probably is going to be very damaging to your hair. If you do want to curl your hair on an everyday basis, then maybe you should invest in the Dyson Airwrap because it is not damaging to my hair. Like when I tell you that Dyson Airwrap, T3 Micro Airbrush Duo, and I have some other favorites, but those hair tools are not damaging to my natural curls. And I've tried other hair tools, other blow dryers that are very, very damaging over time, and I've used the Dyson Airwrap over time, and it is not damaging. So, yeah, I really do like it. I like the Dyson Airwrap. I like the technology behind it, and I like that they have longer barrels as well. But if you want to try it, this is only $40, so it is very affordable. If you have pretty straight hair, you can also use this on damp hair, and it might give you a tighter, longer-lasting curl, but I'm just scared that this might be damaging to your hair, so just be very careful.
