I found some of the best, most popular, trending Japanese makeup products
that all the Japanese girlies are currently obsessed with.
So we're going to try it all on together.
Some of these I've been testing and using for a couple of weeks now.
Some of them is first impressions.
If you enjoy everything Asian beauty, Korean, Japanese, Chinese,
please subscribe because we talk all about that and more.
And of course, healthy living.
So let's dive in.
In Asia, I'm sure you guys have noticed,
they just have the most perfect looking skin.
And I'm going to tell you, that's not just genetics and good skincare.
That is actually really good base makeup.
And I think Japan and Korea just do so well in formulating
some of the best skin-like natural products
that really just even out the skin without looking like you have a lot of makeup on.
So in Japan right now, these are the most trending, popular base makeups.
And they're actually all different.
Like there's a foundation, there's a cushion compact, there's a BB cream.
And I've been using two of these.
I actually just filmed a IG video, so I'm going to review it there.
But this is the Kate Jelly Foundation and this is the Fasio.
Both of these are phenomenal.
Let me just share my thoughts on this one and I'll show the clip.
This is a dupe for the SK-II BB cream.
It is so good. It melts into the skin.
The color is actually really great.
I don't know if they have a lot of different colors,
but this is the one in 03.
And I've never tried this brand before,
but she's high coverage without feeling heavy.
It doesn't give that gray tint and just completely evens out your entire skin.
I've been using this and I love it.
A little goes a really long way.
I was also really excited to try the Kate Jelly Foundation.
It's essentially like a serum-like foundation.
It comes with this little spatula and you scoop a little dollop out and spread it all over the face.
But I will say the texture of this is amazing.
It's like a medium to high coverage foundation that once again does not feel thick.
And this one has six shades available.
But if you're anything within the medium olive range,
the yellow undertone was perfect.
It blended beautifully onto my skin, especially as it absorbed and sat on there.
For this video, there's actually two more that are up there in popularity with base makeup.
And they're both these compact cushions!
And I thought, you know, I just did a ranking video all about Korean compact cushions
because they're the most popular application in Asia.
So I thought I wanted to try these for the first time with you guys today.
So this one is the Kansosan.
It's the Skincare Moisture Cushion Foundation AQ and it's got SPF in it.
And then this one, which is ANB Glow Cushion Foundation in Beige.
ANB is the brand that I've been recently obsessed with for my shampoo.
Oh my gosh, that's so beautiful.
It also says it's made in Korea, guys.
So it's like essentially a Korean foundation.
But let's try it on.
So it's kind of like a standard puff.
I'll try this one on this side and then the Kansosan on this side just for comparison.
Ooh, it's like the perfect color.
Just a teeny bit brighter than my normal skin.
It looks kind of crazy on screen.
But these shades will blend really nicely with time into your skin.
Okay, she's definitely a very glowy formula.
She's giving some shine.
She's giving some moisturization.
Probably a little bit more than I would want, to be honest.
The coverage is light to medium.
I can still see some of the little marks on my cheek.
I can still see a little bit of redness around my nose.
But overall, it evened everything out.
It kind of looks like a BB cream.
So first impressions, it's not a bad compact cushion.
But it's not standing out.
It's a little bit too glowy for me.
Definitely more for dry skin types.
Okay, so now let's try this one on the other side.
It's the Kansosan.
I'm seeing a lot of this brand in Japan right now.
And it's actually designed once again for dry skin.
But this one has some SPF in there.
And it's made in Japan.
All their products are made for dry skin.
So I assume this one is also going to be quite glowy.
It's got a mesh compact, meaning it's not just like a sponge.
You dip it into a mesh layer, and then there's the sponge underneath.
And then there's also the texture here to blend it.
This is in the shade 02 Natural.
It's almost the same shade, just a tiny bit lighter.
What you want in a compact cushion is definitely to find a formula that works for your skin type.
Because if there's one thing that I learned over that seven days of trying seven compact cushions,
is that if you're combo oily, you've got to get a semi-matte.
Nothing in the viral glowy compact cushions is going to make you look good if you are oily combo.
It's very natural, very moisturizing, and it's also very light coverage.
The shade is a little bit lighter, but I can make that work.
In terms of how much it can cover, it's just very light coverage.
So I would say if you have a lot of acne, a lot of pigmentation,
both of these are not going to work for you because the coverage is just not there.
Unless you go in with a concealer afterwards.
So I would say within this category, you guys have to try this.
If you're looking for a medium coverage, something that's flexible on your skin,
these two are it.
It is beautiful.
Let's move on to a powder.
This is also one of their popular powders.
Also from the brand ANB.
It's the Medicated UV Pressed Clear Powder.
So I also have been using this and at the beginning,
I was like, oh my gosh, she's a little bit too light, a little bit chalky.
But as the day went on and at the very end of the day,
I was like, oh my god, my face has not moved!
And I think it was this powder.
And I realized this powder has the ability to compress the look of your pores instantly.
It's kind of incredible.
Like as soon as you dab it onto your face, your pores have vanished.
And even though it says it's a clear powder,
there is still a little bit of skin color to it.
Like it's just a light colored powder.
And at the beginning for my skin, it's coming off a little bit light, okay?
But the thing is, it starts to melt into the skin.
And once again, it's very usable.
I just need to like bronze up the outer rim
and it just gives this super brightening pore blurring and like hairbrushed effect.
Like it still looks nice and healthy here.
It's fine.
But this, if you have oily skin, BAM!
All the pores, all the oil, gone.
It also has a little bit of SPF.
So it's giving you just a little bit of sun protection.
But once again, don't rely on powders or, you know, anything like that for your sun protection.
Definitely wear a sunscreen before.
And this puff, it just like pushes the powder into the skin in such a crazy way.
Like I honestly don't know what it is.
But this was a surprising one and I love her.
So after base, I normally go into my brows.
And we have two brow products that I have been using and have been loving!
So the first one is this.
It's the Excel Prime Eyebrow.
And it's actually a three-in-one.
So it's a pencil, a powder, and a brush.
I like using the powder brush.
So this is really good if you already have really prominent brows
and you just need a little bit of shading to kind of color in any sparse areas.
But for me, I need more here, I need more here.
And I just overall need a little bit more help in the brow department.
So that's when you go into the pencil and we just fill in the rest of the hair.
But I noticed when you use both of these together, you don't have to use as much pencil.
So it's actually really cool.
And then obviously, brush it out.
And it looks great!
So this guy was number two in brow products.
Let me introduce number one.
So this is the Shea Brow from Deja Vu.
So Deja Vu is a really popular brand that makes a lot of really incredible, popular mascaras in Japan.
And I didn't know they had a brow product until this.
She's so cute!
Pink little pink tube.
It was actually in Japan that I discovered this.
And for the last two and a half years, I haven't stopped using a brow mascara.
It changes everything.
And I think it's really interesting because in Asia, they love a soft, airy,
but you know, a nice, straight, cloudy brow.
And this kind of just tames it all in place, colors it, and makes it perfect.
So you just kind of lightly go over it.
I kind of go backwards so the color gets all into my hairs and then kind of sweep it back.
And then a little bit upwards.
And it just kind of keeps the hair in place and gives it a lighter look.
And if you already had pretty strong brows,
you could definitely just use this because it has some color to it and call it a day.
If you look at pictures of Blackpink or any idols or celebrities,
their brows are normally like one or two shades lighter than their hair color.
Like if their hair is black, their eyebrows will still be brown.
And the hack is these tinted mascara brow kind of gels.
And voila!
We have nice, fluffy, natural brows and it matches my hair color.
So both of these, I would say, are pretty solid for brow products.
Never met a brow product made in Japan that I didn't like, to be honest.
So these are great.
Let's move on to eyeliner.
So we have two highly rated ones.
First is the Kiss Me.
This one, the Heroine Make Prime Liquid Eyeliner.
And then we have the Cezanne one.
So both of them are pretty similar.
And they're both brown because I only use brown eyeliners right now.
And what's interesting is they're both 0.1 millimeters.
So I don't know if you've noticed,
but Japan is also obsessed with precision pens
that can give you the most crisp line, the most thin line.
But you can also build it if you want.
I use this one already.
This is kind of like my backup.
And I know she's great.
She's waterproof, stays on all day, gives the best line.
So I'm actually gonna use this one and show you guys today.
I've also used this one as well.
Let me put on a little bit of shadow.
I've actually been obsessed with using this blush as a shadow.
This is the Cezanne.
I think it's also a top-ranking blusher.
But the color is perfect for the eyes.
It just gives the most insanely beautiful definition to the eyes.
So I'm just gonna put that on.
You see?
Oh my gosh.
Beautiful.
And then I just kind of put that on the bottom as well.
And then work that out towards the end of the eye.
And you're done!
If you use this on your cheek,
it's actually giving more of that anti-blush look.
Because, you know, that's the whole trend right now.
It's more of a muted brown blush.
But on the eyes, oh my gosh.
This is everything I would look for for an eyeshadow.
Okay, let me show you the liner.
So this is the Super Sharp Eyeliner EX, also from Cezanne.
So another thing is, as I've gotten older,
I change the way I do my wing.
Now, I start from this kind of outer third
and just wing it out horizontally almost.
I just bring it straight across.
And then it's done.
Before, I used to wing it a little bit more up.
But I feel like as I've gotten older,
it makes me look a little bit too fierce or angry.
And it doesn't suit my face shape.
I think because Asian eyes are a little bit more soft
and they go almond.
You want an almond eye.
Whereas the up wing is more of a western technique
that really suits the western eye shape.
Because they have more lift and dimension.
And then sometimes, I'll even kind of just go down
and follow the shape of that eyelid.
And I just feel like it creates the most natural look.
It follows your natural eye shape.
It makes it look bigger and wider.
But it doesn't look like you have makeup.
Especially when, you know, we put the mascara and everything on.
This one, this eyeliner, fantastic!
Look how dark it is.
From around 27, 28, I stopped using black eyeliner.
Because I also felt like it was too harsh for my skin tone,
my hair, my overall look.
And so brown gives you everything you want.
But it doesn't make it look so, once again, fierce and harsh.
So we're all about creating that kind of soft natural look.
So I highly recommend you try a brown liner.
If you haven't already, it honestly does everything and more.
So these two are great.
Like, no comments on those eyeliners.
Japan, man. They do it well.
Let me quickly get my eyelash curler.
I'm actually gonna use this same shade
and just kind of contour my face.
It's just the perfect brown that you can use in multiple ways.
And actually, this is a trend to use this one universal shade
as a cheek, as an eye, as a kind of contour shade.
Like, look at that.
It just creates such a natural shadow.
It's crazy.
So moving on to mascara.
And these are currently the top mascaras that all the girls are obsessed with.
So the first one is the Majolica Majorca, the Neo Lash.
And this one's in brown because it was the only one available on YesStyle at the time.
By the way, we have a YesStyle code.
It's BeautyWithin12, and you get some discount.
We'll leave the details below.
I get all my Japanese products from YesStyle.
And Majolica Majorca is one of those brands that ever since I was 15
and I went to Japan for the first time,
is the mascara that was always the most popular.
Like, they haven't changed much from the packaging,
but they do reformulate and come out with new ones.
So this is the one that's trending right now.
The second one is this brand.
It's the Etuseis Mascara Extra Long.
This brand, I'm sure a lot of you have not heard of
because it's just not popular outside of Japan
because no one talks about it.
But it's like really popular over there.
And I knew about it because I used the Etuseis Mascara Primer,
which was insane.
It curls, it keeps your lashes lifted,
and it was just a great primer that I think I bought on Amazon.
This is their latest mascara.
I've used this one and insane.
And then the third one is this one, the My Lash.
I want to use this one today because I haven't tried it yet.
And it's a tubing mascara.
So I'll talk about that in a bit.
But I just want to show you this Etuseis one is so cool.
I'll leave the video of when I used it on IG.
It's a comb brush,
but it's got two very different combing sides.
So one is more of your traditional comb.
And then the other side,
it's like this rugged,
like this more rugged kind of comb.
And that side is insane for creating thick volume.
Like I've never tried before.
And then on the comb side is this beautiful,
wispy separating and lengthening mascara.
And I don't know if it's waterproof,
but it definitely kept my lashes curled all day long.
But today, I'm super curious about trying these two with you guys
because I haven't tried it yet.
So let's use this one on this eye,
and we use the tubing mascara on this eye.
It's like a very petite curved brush.
Wow, this curve fits so snug into the eye socket
to really get into the lash roots.
It's almost giving me a gradient effect
where it goes from light to thick.
I wouldn't say it's the most lengthening
because these are just my natural lashes, the length.
I have used mascaras that lengthen it even more.
So it's very good at separating.
The brown is actually really nice.
Each lash is nicely kind of defined,
and it's giving a really cool effect.
Wow.
So this is the My Lash in black,
and it's a tubing mascara.
So a tubing mascara is different to other formulations
where it's wax-based or it's oil-based
because it uses flexible polymers to wrap around each lash
to create this kind of tube effect around each singular lash.
So it's like almost a sleeve that's created around your lash hair.
It's supposed to keep it more water-resistant and transfer-proof
and kind of stay all day.
So I've noticed with these tubing mascaras,
you really want to go over your lashes multiple times
to make sure that it's very well coated.
Otherwise, it won't create that, you know, tube effect.
And then the more you stroke through your lashes,
the thicker and more accentuated and longer it typically gets.
But I've noticed that with these tubing ones,
it can look a little bit spidery and messy if you're not careful.
So you can see the difference, right?
Like this one is constant and long and thick.
This one is like fluttery.
It goes from thick to light and is more, you know, wispy.
And there we have the two.
So you can see a black mascara definitely defines the eye a little bit more versus a brown.
But I really actually love this look.
My thoughts on this tubing mascara is I remember why I don't typically use it.
And it's because of the tubing effect.
There's no gradient to my lashes.
It doesn't go from thick to thin and look super girly and fluttery.
It kind of creates this really even coating on my lashes.
And because my lashes are actually pretty long,
I always find that it droops down because it's almost too heavy.
It's coating it too much.
I'm okay about this, to be honest.
But who it would work for, I believe, are people with very short, thin lashes.
And if you just need extra dimension,
you want to create this almost like volume that's not there,
then something like this will really work.
And it's like, it makes it very transfer proof.
So both of these should last all day.
Honestly, Japanese mascaras are my ultimate favorite.
I'm still using most of the ones from our previous Japan finds.
They're still my favorite mascaras of all time.
And also the Clio Kill one, which is Korean.
Okay, moving on to our cheeks.
I am so excited to share this with you guys
because this blush has literally changed the texture of my skin.
It is like a halo effect for a blush that I never even knew existed.
So she's the VC.
It's from the brand Cosé, but VC is under the Cosé line.
And Cosé as a brand just does a lot of makeup really well.
And maybe this is one of their more higher end.
I actually own the VC concealer.
And it's a brand that you just won't hear of unless you go to Japan
and you're, you know, a Japanese makeup nerd.
But this brand literally is one of my favorites.
Like I'm still using the concealer.
It's one of the best concealers I've ever used.
So it comes with two shades and it's giving like a gradient effect, right?
So one is a lighter, one is a darker,
but there's this beautiful iridescence to it.
What I do is kind of like go in with a gradient effect.
So I'll tap that right under my eye.
And another thing that's changed with my makeup
is actually how I apply my blush.
So I actually apply blush more towards the center of my apples now
before I used to kind of like go out here.
And once again, I feel like that's also a very kind of Western way
because of Western faces and how structured and angular they are.
I feel like, you know, the higher up it is, the better it looks.
But with Asian faces, I feel it looks much better.
Well, it obviously depends on your face shape as well, right?
But like more centered on the apple, like directly under the eye,
it just gives you more of a youthful look.
So I do it pretty close under the eyes.
So it's got this beautiful sheen.
I don't know if you can see it, but it is so nice.
It actually fills in the cheek pores as well.
And then we go on to this one.
This is the shining star.
And then I kind of just like put that on top,
but a little bit further out.
So they kind of like blend together.
And then whatever's left, I kind of pull out horizontally as well.
So once again, I'm not like going up.
It's like the same with the wing.
I'm not going up.
I'm going like out and feathering it out.
It just gives the most beautiful, airbrushed, healthy skin.
Healthy skin, guys.
It's like lit from within.
This is beauty within in a blush form.
It's insane.
And in different lights,
it could look just like you're naturally blushing from within.
And then when it catches the light, you can't tell what it is.
It's not glowy, but it's reflective, but it's so fine.
And I could not be more obsessed with a blush.
Holy cow.
So as soon as I got this and started trying it for the video,
I haven't been able to stop using it.
In Western brands, they love this kind of technique
where you use two different blush colors and blend them into each other.
So there's a gradient and there's dimension.
And depending on kind of like how you look at your face,
it will accentuate it differently.
And then I also like to marry it onto my nose a little bit.
It kind of connects the two.
It's like you drank 20 cups of water and got like 18 hours of sleep.
Oh my goodness.
So for lips, there's actually quite a few.
The number one is actually this one.
This is the Kate Lip Monster.
This is super popular.
Like everyone in Asia is obsessed with the Lip Monster from Kate.
It's constantly sold out.
And this Kate Lip Monster Crystal Pod,
I got it in the shade 02,
is number one right now.
And then we don't have the second one,
but the third one is the Stippy Stippy,
which is this one.
Look how cute!
Look how cute she is!
This is number three.
I got it in the shade 03.
And then some other high-ranking ones from 2025 are both from Canmake.
One is a lip scrub.
And then this other one is like a lip lacquer.
It's like a lip gloss type of thing.
Let me just show you quickly these two because I really do enjoy them.
And I think you guys will as well.
So this is the Lip Monster.
And it's the most pretty coral shade.
It's like hydrating.
I think this is a universally flattering shade.
You know how some lip colors when you put it on,
it's like, oh you have makeup on.
This one just looks so natural.
And I feel like would complement so many skin tones and skin types.
And then I'll show you the Stippy Stippy because it's slightly different.
So I just like applying some foundation
because I have also really like a strong outer lip line.
And I want it to be a little bit more soft.
With this one, like it's a little bit more pinky,
but very very natural and neutral.
A universal pink.
And I naturally have very dark lips.
So the top lip is almost like brown and purple-y sometimes.
There's just like no color to my lips.
But this is just enough pigment that can cover that but look very natural.
And it's not sticky.
It's moisturizing.
And once again, it's a very wearable neutral pink that doesn't look like,
damn girl, you got makeup on.
So very very wearable.
One more to try.
It's from Canmake, which is a very very popular and also affordable.
How cute!
This one's very red.
I will say it's very red.
But let's see if it's like really pigmented.
Oh wait, that is so smooth.
Okay, color-wise, I think it's a stunning color.
It's definitely not something I would wear during the day.
It's definitely like a nighttime date night kind of look.
But the formula is amazing.
It's very light.
It's not overly moisturizing and it feels really thin.
But there is actually quite a great color payoff.
So I feel like if I found this in the right shade, I would love this.
Like it's not thick.
It feels so thin.
It's like just moisturizing enough that it feels soft.
This is nice.
Like it doesn't give glossy.
End of day and look how good my skin still looks.
Like everything, it's still poreless.
And even though I'm shiny and a little bit oily, like none of the makeup has moved.
That's the powder, guys.
That truly is the powder.
The power of powder.
Even if I dab, looks so good.
The blush looks so good.
You can see it.
It's all still here.
So I think my favorites of the day are the eyeliner.
The eyebrows haven't budged at all.
I really like the little mascara thing.
The blush, 20 out of 10.
And oh, I forgot to mention the Sippy Sippy lip is actually a little bit of a stain.
So it did leave color on my lips.
The other ones weren't.
All of these have been hits.
Honestly, guys, every time I do a Japan video, I end up using those products for the next like year or two.
So I'm still using the ones from before.
So anyway, like I said earlier, I wanted to test if this little tube eye, I want to show you.
I put some like cleansing oil on my fingers.
And a lot of the time, you can kind of just like pull away at the mascara and it will kind of just slide off.
Not gonna say this is like the best way to take off mascara.
Anyway, it kind of just comes off like this.
Like little bits of black rubber.
Thoroughly enjoyed the finds from today.
