This Is WHY We Still BANK FISH for Summer Steelhead Ft. @Skyler.Bra

We're back to the roots, you guys have been asking for bank fishing episodes. So we drove a couple hours east, we're gonna do some bank fishing today. Got my buddy Skyler here from Michigan. How's it going? Got Sawyer here from Michigan. And we're gonna hopefully put some steel, these guys have never caught a summer steelhead. So that's the goal for today, we're kinda working our way up the river to where the steelhead I think are gonna be. But we're making a little funny skit because I've been telling these guys the whole time like we're gonna get him today Don't worry. We're gonna get him. And that's the famous last words guys. Yeah, so we've been out on the Big River for the last few days, and today we are out in these other mountains. I don't even know where we're at. I slept in the car the whole time we were here. But I woke up to this, and it's just super pretty. It's crazy. But yeah, this is definitely a change-up from the Big River Troll in the last couple days. Now we're casting spinners. Marlon says we're going to catch a steelhead. So that'd be awesome. I really want to catch one of those so we'll see what we can do Feel like John Dutton get off my range I just got wrecked. Damn it. Damn it, dude. That was such a good bite. Yeah, I'm not outside Little guy, but that's fun, huh? He just crushed it. Yeah, it worked hard for that one. Look at that little guy dude Oh, yeah, he's hit up hit a wall somewhere Got him on the old freaking torpedo body blue and silver can't go wrong with that color Yeah, I've never seen anything like this. This here is probably two or three times bigger than our biggest hill in Michigan It's a lot different. What's so funny dude? I shouldn't have pulled it like that. I broke mine Marlin. See that boulder right there in the center dude I've caught so many fish right behind that not today. There he is fish. Gonna run it at me quick He's just swimming up with the current see him swimming up river definitely a steelhead fish guys. What a beauty Oh, he's barely hooked just by the skinny skin skin. Look at that. Nice little hatchery steelhead beautiful fish They look really pretty this time of year. They start getting all that. Oh, he's already ready We're sending him we could keep that fish guys But these guys are gonna go home with so much salmon and they have access to a lot of steelhead at home where they're at So we let him go. Well, we got one baby. We got one so guys when you're getting these blue foxes out of the packaging one of the most important things to do in my opinion for our salmon and steelhead is to get this treble hook off of here you lose so many more fish on this treble hook this is a must-add two-aught siwash that same one that we've promoted and used for years guys and it just works it's a good hook so we're gonna crimp one of these on here for skyler because he lost his purple spinner in the last hole and honestly purple wasn't working so we're gonna put blue on there and hopefully skyler's gonna hook a steel head down here and it's gonna freaking take off running 40 miles an hour and come flying out of the water 10 times that's what i'm manifesting right now guys when you bend that hook down on there guys you want to really make sure that freaking thing's on there there it is skyler's got the setup now if he doesn't hook one now dude i don't know what to tell him nice one oh dude it's a tank dude it's a nice big steel head here it's a stud dude i got him dude it's a nice one It's a hatchery we can do whatever we want with it. That's a beautiful can hatchery He burned my finger dude when he took off with mine right when I hooked him He looks like he's hooked pretty good, but I don't I want more line out. I'm saying you walk. There we go He's getting pretty tired now. Oh my god. He's gone That was a giant that was like a big thing. I couldn't get my hand around the tail. Oh my gosh. Sorry, dude That was tough to land. I know I should have brought an addicted landing net. That was so lame of me That was a nice one though dude good job. I mean we landed and we leadered him you touched him You got him. At least he's on video. That was sick. Jesus Christ. Snake. I'm not a fan of snakes dude There's a snake right there. It's I don't know man. It's right there. It ain't no rattlesnake Dude that thing scared the life out of me. I'm not a snake guy man. If I'm anything I'm not a snake guy And I'll touch spiders anything oh you see that coho i got him he bit it oh i got a nice steel head super nice one we're in trouble i can go down here i think it landed on that gravel bar as long as he stays in this hole i thought i got the coho we just freaking came off gosh dang it hit so hard you see that sean grabbed it and turned this way with it and then he didn't really fully load the rod so one thing i noticed guys i've now lost three fish in a row and one thing i was checking is my hook point and it has become extremely dull so let's put a new hook on there and i like to just take these fish use pliers like that and literally just break that hook off of there and then we'll put that in our tackle box don't litter it out there and then we'll take one of these two ought Mustad Siwash hooks and we'll just bend that right back on there and now hopefully if i hook one i actually land to see what we can do maybe on the freaking piece i told you there was a fish in there oh it must have got chafed on those rocks over there look at the knot look at the freaking break right there in the line dude we're just having some really bad luck guys that was 17 pound test jesus christ dude i'm just having a hell of a time yeah that didn't hurt at all i just i landed on the soft grass but that's the second third one we hooked in there skylar had a bite two fourth one we hooked in there and we finally landed one of them but you can see why they're so hard to land these things just get violent when you hook them immediately they just start tearing off like crazy and we're not going to keep any of these fish guys this would be an awesome fish to probably keep and take home but we're going to send him on his way all right guys let's send him on his way see you buddy he's ready on the pink worm fish i lost him you see that dude why do i suck i cannot seem to get him to stick on these damn spinners today just had another one right out here in this riff like grab it start to turn with it and then just pop off before i could even do anything so but that blue fox spinner today has been hot until i caught a lot of fish on that thing over the years but that little chartreuse tip oh i wanted to catch one more guys i really did i've been trying hard that was a nice one back there though i think i've lost like what sean five or six you got a you got a lost fish counter going on in here yeah all right addicts we might try to hit one more spot maybe we'll see maybe one more one more down right below this island i think there's a good spot all right dude redemption this right here addicts is called addiction took our waders off but we just had to make one last little stop here maybe for a little redemption for Skylar fish for that huh excited dude I was jumping it's the last spot that's where I lost the one earlier I got my drag set really loose cuz felt like I'm that last one dude it freaking came off I had it too tight. I thought we could get a little last-minute waiters off Mayhem bite come on worm do it for me. I know there's a fricking steelhead laying in this hole We're on the way home now. We got our spongebob Popsicles we had to reward ourselves for working so hard today. It was a fun day We hooked a lot of fish, but man we Struggled to keep them on like we lost a lot of fish It was really annoying and then Sawyer's waders that he was borrowing from me were like two sizes too small So medium he was getting just he had to get out of those things or he was not gonna make it He wasn't even gonna make it the rest of the day at all. He got he got handicapped right out the gate But you know we grind it.
