This Is POLAND 🇵🇱 – Mazur & Polonaise at Kraków Main Square

Oct 2, 2026

Experience the beauty of traditional Polish dances – the Polonaise and Mazur – performed in the heart of Kraków’s Main Square. These dances were popular among the Polish nobility (szlachta) from the 16th to 18th centuries and are still performed today as a symbol of national pride.

The costumes reflect the unique style of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, blending Western European fashion with Eastern influences from the Ottoman Empire. Rich fabrics, fur trims, and decorative hats show the historical wealth and cultural crossroads of Poland in that era.

🎶 The Polonaise, a dignified processional dance, was often used at royal courts and ceremonies, while the lively Mazur symbolized energy and patriotism.

📍 This performance was recorded at Kraków Main Square, one of Europe’s most beautiful historic squares.
