These Xiaomi Walkie Talkies Look Premium — But Wi-Fi Almost Broke Setup

what's up guys in this video we are checking out this xiaomi walkie-talkie 3 lite I think that's what it's called it's a voice version and then there are other versions with LCD screens and advanced stuff but this is voice only version and you need two I got two you don't necessarily need to buy two if you already have you and just want to add one but since I wanted to test it out so I ordered two of course it also works with media app so using that you can change its voice prompts and other settings and also update its software so let's open it up first of all look at its design I mean it feels polished although this type of paint job usually gets scratches very easily but it's a actually they did a good job of paint and designing it it it is not heavier yet it does not feel light in a way that it feels cheap you also have type A to type C cable and Chinese documentation for this product and let's bring out the other as well again same thing just two products now you have let's talk about the design itself it is fully rounded design there are no sharp edges so you can easily handle it without feeling tired it is light yet does not feel cheap it has that premium feeling weight to it this is its antenna on the top you have an indicator light and then you can change the frequency with this orange accent they have given the indicator which looks really nice the frequency ranges are 1 to 16 so you can adjust them and this is the speaker or mic mic and speaker probably on this side you have the type C sensitivity seal so I'm assuming it has some kind of water resistance not sure if they have mentioned it so I'm not going to make any claim about it and no they haven't actually mentioned any resistance so I'm not going to mention it either but it is sealed so some protection is there you have the volume up and down to increase the button solid buckle with its serial number written underneath it me logo here Xiaomi logo here and then you have the power button and this I'm assuming because it natural rest rest on this area it would be there when you want to talk to it talk to someone else so let's turn it on let's turn it all right so let's there is a actually special way to actually configure them together which I'm assuming will result in this encrypted communication but for this purpose in for this video I'm just not going to encrypt it so so I set it to 9 I'm going to go there and also set it to 9 okay and now I'm going to let's decrease the volume of this one a little bit the receiving one so so that there's less echo and now let's start their integration and app detection is not always correct another thing I want to point out that when using me home app you need to set its origin or its server location to Chinese mainland if you're said this should trigger it in oh no this is the configuration mode is it I don't know let's try you know let's try now okay now I see two loaders and now it's telling me press and hold the volume up button for three seconds again same thing connecting and this is the step that failed last time I'm assuming it will fail again I keep having these troubles Xiaomi devices okay frequency padding Mi Home app and due to updates may differ slightly from I don't see anything here so there is a bunch of stuff again but neither is fine I can't find I mean they make it seem like it would be just seamless and it is not again volume up let's try without the Wi-Fi maybe my Wi-Fi or something is interfering with it one two three this time I'm trying it in with my Wi-Fi turned off oh it changed so guys it looks like my Wi-Fi was interfering with it so if I just turned off the Wi-Fi just worked without any issues that's so bizarre but I can think of a way I mean these these routers these days have ad blocking and whatnot and they may miscategorize certain traffic or something like that anyway let's go to language and change the language to English starting successful okay and then let's do the same with other and let's turn it on and let's try and let's turn the other one off press the volume up button for three second one two three nothing let's try again no I and we have the detection it is asking me to press up for three seconds connecting let's hope that it goes through fingers crossed it went through so turn off the Wi-Fi guys when you're trying to connect these and make sure you are setting them in mainland Chinese the server otherwise it will not work and now you have all of the both of these paired and you can connect these change their language you are they also have hands-free hands-free calling so if you don't want to press that push button but I would I wouldn't do that so you have everything here frequency transmit receive everything and you can also check and
