On the same day Trump decided to put pressure on Ukraine rather than Russia by blaming Ukraine, not his disastrous Iran war for high gas prices, we continue to see evidence that the Trump family is in Putin's pocket. It came out yesterday that a Russian oligarch with close ties to Putin footed the bill for hundreds of thousands of dollars in wedding expenses for Donald Trump Jr. Can you believe this? An oligarch of a country we oppose is paying for the wedding of the president's son. Have you ever heard anything like this? It's so corrupt, so venal, so endangering our national security. How can you across the aisle shrug your shoulders at this kind of outrageous, damaging, destructive behavior? And what did Donald Trump Jr. say in his defense? Well, sometimes a wedding gift is simply a wedding gift. Not in this case, baby. You're dealing with a Russian oligarch, not just a cousin who's giving you a gift. Last night, even Trump's MAGA Supreme Court shut down his unconstitutional plan to restrict mail-in voting and rig the November elections. Donald, you lost another one, and you know it's bad when even your MAGA Supreme Court can't defend you because your behavior is so egregious and so damaging to our democracy. Trump's plan was a desperate attempt to screw around with vote-by-mail and smother the voices of millions of Americans, all to avoid accountability at the polls. I wonder if Trump told the court he's voted by mail twice this year as he fought to rip it away from the American people. Trump's scheme was so on-the-nose, so un-American, so flagrantly unconstitutional, that even the MAGA court had no choice but to make the right call. A MAGA court, I'll add, that has done Trump's bidding too many times. Let this be a reminder to Trump, there's no hiding from the American people. You're losing the election because you've been such a bad president, and fixing the election is not going to work because there are too many forces that are trying to stop it. Yield the floor.
