Hey guys, this is Luis Moreno, Simply Health Insurance Agency. This is your agent or hopefully
your agent that's coming to you with a lot of information about ACA Obamacare. So the question
that I'm going to answer today is this, what does ACA Obamacare look like in the future?
Question I got was, is it going to go away? You know, do I enroll now and then they're going to
get rid of it down the road? That's a very, very good question. But before I answer that,
make sure that you like this video, comment. I would love your comments. And then also,
if you would make sure you subscribe to your channel and share this with all of your friends,
because I'm going to come up with so much information about healthcare that this is
going to, I want this to be your resource for all things health insurance. All right.
So the question is, is ACA going away? I'm going to share some numbers with you first.
Okay. Let's take a look. Kaiser Foundation, Kaiser Family Foundation, that's what it is.
These guys are an authority and I use them to get a lot of information.
So here's what I found from them. As of early 2023, 18 million people
have enrolled in ACA. 18 million. Now, CMS.gov posted this three weeks into the open enrollment
for 2024. Okay. 4.5 million people enrolled in ACA. All right. That's three weeks. We're still
missing the remaining days in November. We're missing, and I apologize, guys. I've got asthma
and it's kicking my butt. We're missing the month of December and then two weeks in January.
So maybe we get 6 million people. We're going to have 25 million people enrolled in ACA.
The reason I share those numbers with you is because that's a lot of people enrolled in
health insurance. They just cannot pull the plug and leave all of those people without some options.
So think about this. We had one political giant, Trump, who hated Obamacare. He wanted to destroy
it. He wanted to kill it. And what happened? Nothing. He was able to dismantle a few things.
He got rid of what was called the individual mandate, which was the penalty. And maybe he
did some other stuff that's insignificant in reference to the ACA. But we still have ACA,
guys, and it's still super, super strong. So if he wasn't able to kill it, I don't think anybody
else in the future is, but that's my opinion. Also, the reason he couldn't kill it was because
he didn't have an alternative. He didn't come up with a plan to replace that. He just wanted
to kill it for the sake of just killing. So it didn't happen, guys. So for you all, what I will
tell you is don't worry about it. Also, I want to share this with you. So in 2021, we had the
American Rescue Plan. It helped stabilize ACA. Then we had the Inflation Reduction Act, which
extended that for three more years. So 2023 was the first year. 2024, the current year,
will be the second year. And then we have all of 2025. Okay, so we have those three years
left of enhancements to the ACA. And what they enhance, guys, is they enhance the subsidies.
This is the help that you guys get with your premiums and also with some of the coverages
on your ACA plan. So it made it a good thing for you all. So in my opinion, guys,
don't worry about it. It's political risk. We cannot control it. And at least for 2024, 2025,
we're okay. If we get a new administration, and they decide to make changes, it's going to take
years for it to implement. It's just not going to happen right away. So if you don't have coverage
right now, okay, I will tell you this, if you don't have coverage right now, if you do not have,
if you have a plan, but you're not happy with it, okay, I would be glad to help you out. Down
