AI GeneratedJoe Rady from Rady's Rides unveils the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid, a redesigned compact crossover featuring a unique e-power system. The vehicle replaces the traditional CVT with a setup where a 1.5L turbo engine acts as a generator to power two electric motors. With a focus on efficiency and updated tech, it aims to bridge the gap between combustion engines and full EVs.
What's up? It's Joe Rady from Rady's Rides.
We are here at the home base because guess what?
We have another redesigned vehicle to bring
to you in this virtual unveil. What am I talking
about? The all-new 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid.
So without further ado, let's dive into this
compact crossover SUV and see what's new all right there she
is that is your 2027 Nissan Rogue and
what's interesting is that they have really taken it
to a new level not only aesthetically and you
can see the front of this particular one the way
that they did the style of the grille the LED
daytime running lamps the new wheels new colors
and wait until you see the interior now
all new Nissan Rogues will be standard hybrid
but it actually has a very unique segment first
setup the hybrid engine is actually a generator
and what's actually powering the four wheels
are two electric motors this isn't a plug-in so you don't have
to worry about that it's literally
put gas in the tank press the power on button
and you drive and wait until you hear the fuel
economy so this one in the video is the top platinum trim
but of course you'll have SV SV
premium SR SR premium and the top platinum trim
now like i said segment first e-power and what
e-power is when we're talking about Nissan
is having those electric motors drive the wheels so
all Rogues come standard with all-wheel drive
because all Rogues for 2027 model year have
two motors a motor driving the front wheels
a motor driving the rear wheels now this whole idea
of having a generator an engine that's a generator
to generate power for recharging the battery
that then powers the electric motors
is not new i mean think back to Chevy Volt the Volt was really
ahead of the future it was like seeing a glimpse of the future back
then and it was interesting
how Chevy killed off the Volt
but i think you're gonna see more vehicles like this because it kind
of is bridging the gap a little bit more something
that we kind of stressed when all these brands
we're going full EV it bridges the gap between
the regular internal internal combustion engine
cars and the full-out EVs and with this you don't have
to worry about range anxiety you don't have
to worry about charging it finding
a charging station none of that now with this setup what
is actually powering it that generator what
is it it's that 1.5 liter turbo charged in line three
but like i said it's specifically there for recharging that battery
and getting those
electric motors going
so you're looking at a combined 225 horsepower with these two electric
motors when it comes to the interior look
at the new updated materials of course they went
and worked with NASA once again to develop those zero gravity seats
and i can attest from other
Nissan vehicles going in long media drives the seats are comfortable
so i'm going to expect
to see that once again with this vehicle nice large cargo area look
at how much room you have
of course that's something so important for a crossover SUV
and this vehicle i mean check out
the dash that really is going to put it in front
of the competition you have a 12.3 inch infotainment
system screen combined with a 14.3 inch digital gauge cluster
so I like the way they made the
digital gauge cluster larger than the infotainment system
and not the other way around because the
gauge cluster really is the most important thing
for when it comes to driving not you selecting
what you want to do in the infotainment system now
with that being said it has a 1.67 kilowatt
lithium-ion battery pack.
And here's the big crescendo, the numbers. 40 mpg's in the city
and 36 on the highway.
If you get out your abacus, if you count on your fingers and your toes,
that equates to 38 mpg's miles per gallon average between city
and highway. The vehicle weighs
4,100 pounds and if you want
to do some light towing it will tow up to 1,500 pounds now you'll
notice the updated wireless charging ambient
lighting I really think Nissan did a great job
with their single spoke steering wheel
and this of course is going to go against that RAV4 it's
going to go against the new redesigned Hyundai Tucson
the Kia Sportage the Chevy vehicles like
the Equinox and the rest of the bunch.
I mean, this is a very big segment. Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5
and Mazda CX-50. So really a hot segment.
Just so you know, the Rogue is Nissan's best-selling
vehicle of all time.
They have sold over 4 million of those Rogues worldwide.
And this vehicle will
be built in Japan which is interesting
so you actually get a Japanese car company making a
Japanese product in Japan
and then bringing it to the United States now this will have e-pedal
so just like you've seen in some
of my EV reviews where you could have that one pedal operation
that equates in this vehicle just like a regular EV even
though this is something like I said
totally different with that e-power setup now what about pricing right
that's always a big
big thing well first of all let me tell you
this this is a 2027 model year vehicle all the trims
except for one will be available at the beginning of 2027
but there's going to be one that's
available at the fall time just around this time now
at the end of 2026 let's start with the base
so your base is an SV that starts at $35,000
and like I said all of them are all-wheel drive and
all of them have this e-power setup next up will be the SV premium
so basically you're adding
an extra package to the SV
and that's how it works for the next trim as well that's going to be
$37,500. Then you have SR, which is $37,400.
The reason why, if you're tilting your head or
shaking your head, you're confused, is because remember,
I just told you SV with the premium
package. If you go standard SR,
it's a little bit cheaper than SV with the premium. Now, if you want
SR with the premium package, the tech
that's going to be 37, excuse me, 41,000, so the SR Tech
the premium tech is going to be the one that they bring to you first
because they think that's going
to be the sweet spot Nissan thinks that that's going
to be the sweet spot in their lineup and
that's why it's $41,000 compared to the SV premium, which is $37,500.
Do you see where I'm
going with that? And then of course the top trim,
which is the platinum, which comes with all the
goodies is an MSRP of $43,000. So let's recap that real quick.
Entryway is 35 grand. Top of the line
is going to be 43 grand.
And then you have some differentiation between those two goalposts,
depending on what spec you want to go with.
Now, when you go with the higher trims,
you're going to be able to get a 10-speaker Bose sound system,
those zero-gravity seats,
and all the other goodies that have been added.
You know, you have this updated Google system
that's usable with your Rogue.
You have 8.4 inches of ground clearance,
which is a decent amount,
so you're not bumping into curbs or driving over anything.
but you'll notice that you do have access
to functions in the car through the infotainment
system which that's like I said the 12.3 inch
but you also if you notice in this video right now
you also have the physical buttons as well
and that to me is really the most important because
it's nice to just have those easy access buttons you can see
the different modes sport standard
you have a personal mode eco snow
and off-road a little too busy on the modes but with that being
said I do know from driving Nissans in the past each
of the modes are very unique upon itself
but it's where the style you know you look
at Alfonso over in Japan at their design studio
look at the colors the textures I think
this is what's going to help separate the Rogue from the
rest of the pack the one thing that I still can't believe
and if you look at that screen
there's no ventilated seats even on a platinum trim
that really bothers me a platinum trim
that's $43,000 should cool my rear end
and I'm sad to see it's heated seats not ventilated seats but
I do like the way on the center console they didn't put
a bunch of gloss black you do have
the push button transmission like they've been using in the Armada
and I think you'll see that
for all their vehicles nice panoramic sunroof that's available
but i am a little dumbfounded
that they don't have ventilated seats
because that's one of the things that kind of bothered me
on the current generation of the rogue how they have a button there
but even on the platinum trim
you can't get it of course nissan does their two tones very well
so you can get that black
roof with all the pillars blacked out
and then the body color or you can just get full body color
if you choose I know that's not everybody's uh cup
of tea like my grandmother used to say but
I'm a little taken aback by the style up front I
I don't I'm hoping I'm keeping my fingers crossed
that it'll look better in person
but um it kind of is blending a little bit of what we know about
Hyundai and Kia together
so very I do like the back I think the back actually looks better than
the front so maybe if you just drive it backwards all
the time people will give you a thumbs up
but uh yeah i just don't know what
the the decorative daytime running lamp but you can
see how they brought in that v motion grill uh with the lighting
and everything but i'm very
curious to you know it's one thing what i think about it
but what do you think about this i mean
this is really a departure power wise
from the current rogue yes it's got the 1.5 liter turbo
charged engine the three cylinder
but it's only there to power up the battery and then of course
you have direct drive there's no cvt guys no cvt
because of the direct drive transmission on the
electric motors the two electric motors
so i i'm dying to hear what you have to say about it i think
that uh you know if if this style looks a looks
a little bit better in person i mean they may have
a super home run because nobody else is doing
this in the segment nobody but with that being said let
me know down in the comment section how
are you you feeling about this new rogue let me know if
