Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. Today's review is on this very beautiful, very unique
deck by Lo Scarabeo. It is called the Tarot of the Secret Forest and I got this one because
I was really looking for kind of a fairy one but like a little darker and I did find this one
and it is in a little tuck box which I'm not all that crazy about but I might find a different
kind of box to keep it in but this is what the outside of it looks like so very dark kind of
looking. It says Lucia Motoli, this tarot traces a path to the heart hidden in nature, a magical
place that could be found in the soul of each of us with the 78 cards with a really small little
guidebook in here. I did get this one on Amazon. This one says my garden forest isn't cultivated,
it's not well tended, I don't have the courage to cut that tangle of brambles,
I don't want to change anything and it has that little symbol there.
So what makes this deck unique is that it has two sides to it, both color and black and white.
So here is just the little box that it comes with and then just the simple little typical Lo
Scarabeo little stapled book with pretty simple meanings in here, very little keywords.
This one definitely not a beginner deck. We do have that spread in here and then we have it in
English, Italian, Spanish, French and Dutch. So just very simple, not very much to the book at
all. And so we have just this first little card, just extra, with the website on it and then we
have this one here, Tarot of the Secret Forest and then it has it in the different languages there
and then the black and gray or black and white side. So we have, we'll start off with the major
Arcana here. Just so you can see, it is quite darker. Really, really beautiful though detail.
This one is the Fool. So you really can't use this if you are just starting out in Tarot, I would not
recommend this. Definitely only for, you know, if you're pretty good with, you know, knowing right
off the bat what your major and your minor Arcana are. But very, very beautiful details and then we
have the Magician. Let's see, oh and then I forgot to show you guys. So we have, you know, this
this colored side and then if you flip it over you have the black and gray side. So you can use it
any way you want to use the colored side or if you want to use that side. Really, really cool.
So we have the Magician. So pretty similar.
The High Priestess. You can see all that detail. Very pretty.
The Empress. Looks like she's sitting on like a twig or whatever it is. Her wings
and then the same there.
The Emperor. And so through the black and gray or black and white you can see a lot more detail.
I feel like than you do if you are looking at this side. Some of the images are
quite dark but it is very, very pretty. The Hierophant.
And we have that side.
The Lovers.
The Chariot. You can see the two little, they look like flies maybe.
He has pulling the reins on them there. And then we have Strength. And then the black and white.
The Hermit. You can see all of that. Really, really pretty. The colors. I love the green.
And then we have the Wheel. Which is just that flower there. And then we have Justice.
You can see the scales there. And then we have the Hanged Man. You can see.
And then we have Death. So I'm thinking maybe like a Death Moth. Maybe fairy kind of thing.
With all the brambles down here. And then we have Temperance. You can see here.
Most of the water. And then we have the Devil. And we have the Tower.
Don't you just fall in there. We have the Stars. The Star.
The Moon. This one pretty, pretty dark as well. And then we have the Sun.
This one probably being the most bright. And then we have the World. Is that the World?
Let's see what that is. Judgment. You can see that. A lot of it is a little hard to see because
it's it gets pretty dark. I would say you probably have to read the cards in a pretty well-lit room
because they are, you know, if you put them down they are pretty dark. But they are really, really
pretty. Very unique. So we have Judgment. And then we have the last one of the major arcana,
the World. And then we have, and this one, as they go through the minor arcana you will have,
find, you know, which one it is at the bottom. So this one being the one or the Ace of Cups.
The Two of Cups. Three of Cups. The Four of Cups. The Five of Cups. The Six of Cups. The Seven of Cups.
The Eight of Cups. And you can see he's like, you can see his face there in the, right in the tree.
The Nine of Cups. This one is really pretty with the little fish there in the pond.
We have the Ten of Cups. I'm not sure that I'll use the black and white side. I really prefer
the colored. And this is the Page of Cups. The Knight of Cups. The Queen of Cups.
The King of Cups. And then we have the Ace of Pentacles. Two of Pentacles. Three of Pentacles.
Four of Pentacles. Five.
Six of Pentacles.
Seven. Lots of butterflies in here.
The Eight of Pentacles. I really love this one. Really, really pretty. The Nine of Pentacles.
Lots of little things going on here. We have a bird that's holding this little
scroll down here. The Ten of Pentacles. The Page of Pentacles. We have the Knight. And the
court cards do have, you'll notice, I don't know if I said that in the last suit, but they'll have,
not sure, it looks like it might be like a little leaf kind of crown maybe for the pages.
And then for the Knights we have that horse there. And then the Queen's crown, Queen of Pentacles.
And then the King has a larger crown. So the Ace of Wands. The Two of Wands.
The Three of Wands. The Four of Wands. The Five of Wands. And you can see them up here,
that conflict up there. So some of the images you can tell looking at them, you know,
if you really wanted to use this as a beginner, some of them have, you know, some of that imagery
that ties back to the Rider Waite, but others are very, very different. This is why I say it's not
the best deck to use if, you know, you are just starting. Seven of Wands. The Eight of Wands.
The Nine of Wands. Ten of Wands. We have a turtle. The Page of Wands. The Knight of Wands.
The Queen of Wands. I really love this one, this image here. The King of Wands.
And then we have the Ace of Swords. The Two of Swords. The Three of Swords.
The Four of Swords. The Five of Swords.
Six of Swords. The Seven of Swords. The Eight of Swords. The Nine of Swords.
Ten of Swords. And we have the Page of Swords. The Knight of Swords. The Queen of Swords.
And then we have the King of Swords. So though I do really love the, you know, the art on here,
I do wish it was a little bit lighter because some of the images are very dark.
The major arcana isn't too bad, but some of them
are get so dark that you can't really see. You have to really make sure, unless my vision's just
getting bad because I'm getting old, but some of them are very dark. So it's hard to see exactly
what's going on in the photo or on the card itself. But I do love, you know, this one,
don't really care for borders, but because this one's, you know, the imagery, it doesn't really
stand out so much to me. So that's why I do really like it. It's just very simple,
you know, the actual image that's on the card takes up the majority of the space.
And it's pretty similar in color. So that's why I don't mind the borders in this one. And then,
you know, also wanting something a little bit darker, foresty. This one, I really love to use
a lot. So love this one. I'm not, I'm still not sure how I feel about the backs.
It's okay. I don't think that I'll ever really use it this way. I always, whenever I use it,
I use it, you know, this way, this side facing the card. So I may, down the road,
end up just covering the backs with some type of contact paper, just so that it only shows,
you know, this side of it and choose something pretty neutral on the other side of it. But
I did get this one on Amazon. So I will put that link down in the description box for you guys.
Please feel free to check out the other deck reviews that I have posted. They are in a
