Hey, what's going on everybody today?
I'm going to show you a really quick demonstration on how I made that sugar garnish in my last video the Valentine's Day
Chocolate cups video. I did it at the very end
It was a really quick little garnish, and I'm going to show you guys how to do it
I promised that I'd show you so here it is check it out. It's gonna be pretty fun
The first thing you want to grab is plain old white
Granulated sugar and you're going to heat this up with a few tablespoons of water for about 15 minutes or until it reaches
350 degrees Fahrenheit
As this sugar is bubbling away one thing
I strongly recommend is to keep the stirring to a minimum because the more you agitate the mix the more crystallization can occur
Once your sugar has reached about 350 degrees Fahrenheit
You could take it off the stove and start swirling it around the pan just starting to cool it
It should reach about 275 degrees before you can start making your garnishes
So once the sugar has cooled down enough to where it's holding its shape
You can start wrapping it around anything that you have handy
It could be a spoon or the you know end of a spatula or a wooden dowel any sort of pastry cutter
As soon as the sugar starts to set up it can really wrap around anything
So anything you have handy to make a shape just grab it and go crazy with this stuff
Also one thing you'll notice is the sugar sets up really fast and cools down pretty quickly
So you have to return it to the stove every once in a while to sort of get that texture back
So there you guys have it a beautiful sugar garnish that you can top any dessert with and
Just have that Wow factor and take it to the next level. Hopefully you guys enjoyed this video
