Small footprint, big potential.
Take a look at this modern mother-in-law suite as it starts to take shape. Even in the framing stage, you can already see the thoughtful layout, clean lines, and smart use of space that will bring this project to life.
We loved capturing this walkthrough and helping showcase the progress behind the build.

What's going on guys? It's Matt again with Cloud9. Today we're out here at Nichols Lake Road located
in Milton, Florida. Come check out what we got going on. Alright so before we even go inside
the house we're going to talk a little bit about the outside. Starting right here on the front
porch like we do with a lot of our Cloud9 custom builds. We're going to do some tongue and groove
stained ceilings in the porch with some lighting and some fans. It's a little bit different than
a traditional house that we normally have been building with our board and batten hardy. So
it's going to be a total brick house. We're going to have brick coming up about three foot off each
one of our posts and it's going to be capped off with hardy so it's going to look really nice and
tied in together. So this is going to be a pretty big one bedroom, one bath, 2,000 square foot
mother-in-law suite. You can see we went traditional 10 foot ceilings. We're going to have a double
tray ceiling in this living room. It's going to hop all the way up to about 12 foot in the center.
We're going to walk around here. We're going to have our kitchen so it's going to be an open
concept floor plan. We're going to have a beautiful kitchen here and cabinets are going to come out
forming some type of bench seating with our table there, sink, and more cabinetry in the back.
And I can't wait to show you some of the finishes on this whenever we get done with it. And here we
have the master bedroom. The master bedroom, if you're going to notice, is actually going to be
the same thing as the living room. We're going to have a double hop up all the way up to 12 foot.
Except for in the master bedroom, for a little accent, we're going to do a stained tongue and
groove ceiling on the center of here with our lighting around the exterior. That's going to
lead us into our master bathroom. As you see, we still got a little bit more to go before we start
really working more on the finishes, getting all the details right. We're going to have a
curbless shower walk-in with a bench and a half wall. It's going to have a hand wand and slider
bar so it's going to be fully customized. We're going to have a big 115 inch double sink vanity
with some towers in between his and her mirrors. And we're going to have a big jacuzzi standalone
deep soaking tub here. So we're getting all of our final details set so that whenever we
go and start working all of our finishes, everything's going to line up. And here's
going to be our toilet room. We're going to have some pocket doors coming in here.
Something also that we love to do with our Cloud 9 builds, whenever we're getting our
designing phase done, is we like to integrate our laundry room and our closets together. It just
makes it fully functional because they kind of go hand in hand. So we also did that here in this
master where you're going to walk through and you have your closet here. And this is attached to
your master bedroom. And then it's going to also attach right into your laundry room where you're
have your washer and dryer and a beautiful fixed window to let some natural light in,
some shelving, just your normal laundry room stuff. Then it's going to walk right out and
you're going to come right back out into the living space. So if you notice you have a dual
entry for your laundry room, which is something that we do a lot of, just makes a lot more
functional and it seems to flow a lot better. We are now on our back porch. Each one of our
two exterior doors are going to be six foot by eight foot tall. They're going to be double
French doors. So it gives you a lot of operating space to get in or out. Back porch is really nice.
It gives you a nice cut of some good privacy. Same thing out here, stained tongue and groove ceilings,
brick along your posts and with capped off with some hardy going all the way up. So it's just
going to be a really nice entertaining spot. And if you just want to come out here for some
peace and quiet and overlook the scenery, you got plenty of it. All right. So I appreciate you guys
coming and joining us once again, checking out what we got today out here on Nichols Lake Road
in the Framing Stage. Stay tuned. We got a lot of work to do, but I can't wait to show you guys
what it comes out to be in the finishing touches.
