And I'm just here singing for my family and my community. In January of 2025, there was a wildfire that destroyed a lot of our community. So much of our community burnt. Like my preschool. The first theater I ever performed in. The home that I lived in until I was five. My child and best friend's homes. It was a really, it's been a really hard time seeing the town that I grew up in completely gone. After the fires, it was really hard to just find joy in the little things. But it's taught me a lot. It's taught me when everyone comes together, it can be so strong. Well, sorry for all of that. I know the pain that that community is going through. My first memory of music me and my mom actually used to watch American Idol. That was my first memory of like loving music. He once tried to run away to Hollywood and he was just going to run away with a guitar and see you on the street. I thought it was crazy. It was the turn and I'm glad you kept that energy despite what anybody said about you. I appreciate it. For real. Tough. My mom was on drugs. There was a lot of times we didn't have water on, lights on. I had to take care of my little siblings. My mama had a hard life and truthfully my mom went through the same thing I had to go through. It repeats itself. Eventually our family stepped in and my mom got clean and she was actually really trying to change and make things better. I lost my mom in 2022. I had just started to understand. I had just started to understand at that time and I had just started to forgive for a lot of things that we went through as kids. It was hard. It was very hard. This is a very special moment not only for me but for my family. For me it's more than auditioning. It's just about my family. Showing them that you can do anything that you can put your mind to. If I go a million miles away each and every day cause I need nothing said nothing can ever change this love I have cherry pie ice cream water sugar and spice and everything you're the girl of my dreams but to leave me here I just say well cause I need nothing can ever change this cause I need nothing can change this love I have for you So I'm channeled now. But I feel like I never quite fit in that industry. I just didn't want to give up my dream. I started searching on Google jobs with housing USA and this popped up. Oh my god! It was so different. As of right now I work as a retail associate in the bike shop at Death Valley. My job consists of doing reservations, being the cashier, telling people about all the sites they can go out and explore in the National Park. The plan was to save up money and then head to LA and keep pursuing music. I really didn't know what I was getting myself into. This is like crazy. I live over there by that mountain. The hardest thing has been leaving my whole world behind. When was the last time you saw your family? I saw them the day before arriving to Death Valley. It's been six months since I saw my mom. My whole life she told me go follow your dream and I'll be here to help you always. I know I can hear her through the phone from Puerto Rico but it's not the same to have that hug in person. I feel like she reminds me to be that little girl that had such big dreams. Well we actually have a note here from your mom. Oh my God. It says, God bless you.
