How did I get these sights?
Funny story.
We were drinking at the Brownells booth at IWA,
and in all of my drunkenness I was so impressed by these sights,
that the guy just decided to give them to me.
So now that I had some time to play with them,
I can tell you why these are awesome.
The sights are light, sturdy and very well built.
They're adjustable in the front and in the back,
and they have two different apertures.
The sights are foldable to the side at 45 degrees,
and they're very low profile,
so you can mount optics on the gun.
What makes these different from other sight folding sights,
is that once they're in up position,
you can also put them in the line of sight through your optic.
So there is no need to cant your gun to see the sights.
What I don't like about these sights,
is that they are too big, too wide, as you can see here.
Okay, so it makes sense that this side has to be as wide as it is,
so it has this feature.
But why do you need this big chunk on the other side?
I don't see the point.
So of course, if you have the sight folded on this side,
it's really hard to reach the charging handle.
But also, again, for no reason,
because this side is so wide,
it impedes on your movement here, your charging handle.
So I would reduce this.
Yes, the sight is flush with rails,
but it takes more space than it actually looks.
Because, for example, this primary arms does not fit on the rail here,
but you have to move it one slot forward.
So this space here is just lost.
So what's the verdict?
I like the sights.
They have a lot of good functionality.
They're solid build, quality made.
But there is still some room for improvement.
So maybe if they make the Gen 3 or whatever,
they can look at this video and maybe improve them.
Thank you for watching and see you soon.
Bye-bye.
