Shohei Ohtani vs. Jacob Misiorowski! (Both Plate Appearances in 2026 NLCS Game 1) | MLB Highlights

It's the four-time MVP, Shohei Ohtani, to lead off the second for the Dodgers. He has been a shell of that guy, though. Two for 13 in the division series, but really this goes back to most of the second half. Ohtani last homered on August 18. He's hitting .150 with just one RBI since then. We asked Dave Roberts today, what do you need from Shohei Ohtani to win this series? Because they were able to beat the Braves, not getting anything from him. And he said, we don't need the slug. We just need it to be a competitive at-bat. it can't be an automatic out and he takes three three and oh yeah for Ohtani the Braves pitched them exclusively outside especially left-handers this being a little bit different facing a right-hander takes a four-pitch walk to lead off this inning and again no matter how bad it's looked for the last few months for Ohtani he still has that big circle around him and Miserowski with a four-pitch walk to Ohtani last inning came in to score the Dodgers run perhaps that's the path for Ohtani moving forward here is to be a pesky on base guy challenge coming here from Contreras on what was called ball one it's the overturn ABS powered by T-Mobile's network top of the zone bottom of the zone those are the two stress areas for hitters that pitchers in this day and age as hard as they throw are going to create problems and for the umpires because they've done they got a hard job as well the game four in Atlanta Ohtani scored their first run as well similar fashion walked stole second. Advanced on an error and then came in to score. So the legs have looked good once he's gotten on And this one from Miserowski. Takes it low. He's seen fewer strikes than any hitter in the playoffs. Above the belt. Fastball up. Going to be tough for a guy who doesn't have his front side locked in with that right knee and right shoulder. That's the best slider he's thrown all night. And maybe that you know when a hitter clicks and hits a ball it clicks in for him. Maybe for a pitcher when you see that pitch do what you want it to do in a clip for a pitcher.
