My tribute to talented actor, funny comedian and most importantly - great man. He was special. I miss him so much.
We got some news during the show that Robin Williams has passed away.
He was one of a kind. He's one in a million. He's like unbelievable.
People were drawn to him because of this electricity, this whatever it was that he radiated.
When I first met him, I felt a deep sadness.
I had no idea that the man was in pain, that the man was suffering.
Oh captain, my captain! You will be missed.
You have a gift.
You know they like you.
It's not your fault.
You'll never be regular. You're spectacular.
God has said it was easy.
It's such a shame for us to part.
God has said it was easy.
Why can't we treat death with a certain amount of humanity and dignity and decency and God forbid, maybe even humor?
Death is not the enemy, gentlemen.
Oh, take me back to the start.
You create man.
Man suffers enormous amounts of pain.
Man dies.
Maybe you should have had just a few more brainstorming sessions prior to creation.
You rested on the seventh day.
Maybe you should have spent that day on compassion.
Please, don't worry so much.
Because in the end, none of us have very long on this earth.
Life is fleeting.
And if you're ever distressed, cast your eyes to the summer sky.
And the stars are strung across the velvety night.
And when a shooting star streaks through the blackness, turning night into day.
Make a wish.
Think of me.
Make your life spectacular.
Oh, it's such a shame for us to part.
Poetry, beauty, romance, love.
These are what we stay alive for.
No one ever said it would be so.
Oh, captain, my captain.
Gentlemen.
No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world.
Now, you can know everything in the world, sport.
But the only way you're finding out that one is by giving it a shot.
Carpe diem.
Seize the day.
Gather your rosebuds while ye may.
People call these things imperfections.
But then, oh, that's the good stuff.
And then we get to choose who we let into our weird little worlds.
And we all have a great need for acceptance.
But you must trust that your beliefs are unique, your own.
Even though others may think them odd or unpopular.
Even though the herd may go, that's bad.
The powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse.
What will your verse be?
