Revealing secrets of a chateau ruin : The epic journey begins

Yeah that's right stage one at the Chateau Ruin is underway next week and we're starting with the most exciting thing it's digging out the entranceway and that is well it's a pretty big job let me just remind you what it looks like so look here you can see all the rubble that we're about to clear out so all that debris that's on the floor is all the stuff from five floors above plus the turret roof plus the staircase everything when the fire happened that fell down and is now resting in the entrance and it's like it's like a meter and a half deep of stuff okay so this bit is the entranceway so it comprises of the turret bathroom bathroom bathroom bathroom this main thing was a staircase so it's this whole bit which we're going to free up by freeing that up it not only makes the building safer but it means then i can put scaffolding in this tower bit which then means we can start repairing it and putting the roof on and getting it watertight so it's the first step of a longer process so what you're seeing here this is a basement underneath the entranceway all this floor's now been cleared that's what it can't be a usable space until all the weight on the floor above's gone because there's like 20 extra tons suspended on the concrete floor above and it's just just don't feel that safe being underneath like 20 tons of stuff you know so what i'm saying is in theory all of this will be gone and clear and out of the building know what the exciting thing is it's like what are we gonna find under there like i know some things will have been taken from the chateau but a whole chateau's worth of stuff within that rubble there's gotta be some cool stuff in there i've just honestly i'm dying to shovel that out so there'll be other things going on next week as well nick's here doing trees we've got well i'm not i won't give too much away but it's going to be a really exciting week i'll see you tomorrow
