Set in the sprawling retro-futuristic city of Metropia, where humans and aliens live side by side, the film follows Raymond Gunn, the last human private detective. His latest case draws him into a dangerous web involving murder, corruption, alien intrigue, and troubled multimedia superstar Venus Nova. Featuring the voices of Sam Rockwell and Scarlett Johansson, Ray Gunn blends detective noir, science fiction, comedy, crime, and large-scale animated adventure. Netflix describes the film as Brad Bird’s decades-in-the-making passion project.
