In the middle of a Trans American Trail adventure I had Problems With Royal Enfield Himalayan Blinkers. Both the blinkers and flashers stopped working. Whenever I hit the signal they would stay solid (in the on position). I have 300 miles to ride and I cannot find how to fix the problems with Royal Enfield Himalayan blinkers. After getting back home I was able to isolate the issue to the flasher \ blinker relay. I was not able to get a replacement quickly so I have a simple temporary fix for you. The video is about "Problems With Royal Enfield Himalayan Blinkers : Bad Flasher Blinker Relay" but also tries to cover the following subject: Motorcycle Camping adventure in the United States Exploring the Appalachian Mountains Off-road journey on the Trans American Trail Riding a Royal Enfield Himalayan

Hello everybody, we got a little quick fix it video today. Let's take a look what we're dealing with
I'm having some blinker issues. They are intermittent and they're not flashing. So it should just be my relay
I'm going to take a look. This is the 2022 model
So you can see here when I hit my blinker on that's a solid light
solid light
If I hit my flashers
They're staying solid as well
Seems a little
intermittent
But is it definitely happening a lot
So I'm gonna take a look at the the relay the flasher relay and I'm sure that's more than likely it
I don't know if the relay is getting stuck open or not
Or it's just failing it is under warranty. It's a 2022
But let's just see if the relay is is just getting stuck grabbing an issue here. So the only tool
I'm really gonna need is just a four millimeter hex
and I'm gonna take this plate off here as
Usual three of the screws are real and one is just a placeholder for a pin there
I'm gonna put that guy down
All right, so I've got my relay right here
It is on the battery side
So you can see that it says oh, let's take a look
Yeah flasher relay now this particular model here is a 2022. So I do have the flashers on it
I think that is a 2021 and above if you have an older Himalayan your relay might be a little more simple
Just handling the blinkers. I don't believe they have the flashers on there, but mine again
It's gonna have the flashers and the blinkers relay is right here
Let's just give it a little wiggle take a look at it inspect it and see what we got
See the relay here with the connection
It is on to has a rubber boot that is connected to a metal bracket there and it can slide right out
You just push it a little bit from underneath and then pull up it's on a little rubber boot just connected
I don't know if you can see that back there. There is a little metal connection there
Single clip on top here does look secure
I'm gonna take that loose
You can see on it there if I can get that to focus
Turn signal relay there, of course hazard signal there also with a part number
I'll list below
so it did look like it was securely connected a
relay, of course is just a mechanical switch that is
Electronically
Changed excuse me. So we're gonna give it maybe just a little tap. It does seem to be periodic
I'm wondering if it's getting stuck opened or closed
So I'm gonna give it a tap on a hard surface see if that'll do anything for me and then I'll be right back
All right, so just after hitting it a little bit on a on a solid surface got Eddie Vander there in the background
You can see that it is working now. I'm not so confident. That'll stay working
Well, let's take a look
Back to blinking and
flashers
So after a simple little test, it does look like it is working
I'm not sure how much I trust that so I'm definitely going to need to order a
Replacements might get might take a little bit to get in. I'll reach out to the dealer
But for now, at least I know that simple connecting makes the change
And we'll see how long that lasts. I'll keep you updated got to put back in
Just want to make sure there's just a easy metal bracket that the rubber goes down on to we just want to make sure you got
really solid
Connection there. We're all set. I'm gonna go ahead and get the cover back on everything set in place
Let's go for a ride. Give it a test out and see what happens a little quick fix-it video
If you have any questions link below, I'll put the part number
go ahead and comment like and subscribe if you have a Himalayan or any other questions hit that Bell thing and
We'll talk soon on the next adventure
