let's complete prime factorization with
some numbers that have variables and
exponents so let's get started I like to
use a factor tree so for 75 first let me
back up prime factorization is you're
trying to find all the prime numbers
that multiply together that equal the
original number so let's start we have 3
* 25 = 75 three is prime so I'm going to
circle that and then 5 * 5 =
25 so now we can write the this m cubed
out you know that it's m * m * m so we
could write this out like this 3 * 5 * 5
* m * m * m or you could write it like
this 3 * 5^ 2ar because there's two of
them M cubed let's work another example
quickly okay so now we have
54 so I'm going to start with 2 * 27
because that equals 54 and then I'm
going to go 3 * 9 Circle the three
because it is Prime and then 3 * 3 and
I'm down to all prime numbers so now
let's write this out we could go 2 * 3 *
3 * 3 * x * X or 2 * 3 Cub
x^2 I hope that was helpful
