AI GeneratedThis tutorial demonstrates how to create a versatile 8-point origami ninja star that can change shape. The finished model can transition between a closed shuriken and an open frisbee-like disc, allowing the user to customize which tips stand out for visual effect.
Hello everybody, welcome to another video.
In this tutorial I'll teach you how to make an 8 point ninja star that also change shape.
It not only opens and closes, but you can also choose the tips that stand out.
Varying the colors this can create a very interesting result.
Open, this also works as a frisbee.
And closed, that is a shuriken.
To do this we'll need 8 squares of paper of the same size.
You can make as big as you want, but in this video I'll use 10 by 10 centimeters.
4 by 4 inches.
So, to make the first piece.
First of all we need to fold in half vertically.
So bring the right side to the left and make a crease.
Now undo and fold half of the top side to the middle.
First the right and then the left.
Right, with the paper in this position.
Close using the first crease and fold bringing the right side down.
Just like this.
Undo and using this new crease let's reverse the corner.
Bringing in, close again and reinforce.
The first piece is ready.
Let's make another 7.
Now to fit is very simple.
As you can see each piece has one tip on one side and two on the other.
To fit we put the next piece inside these two tips.
Like this.
And then just fold the two little corners that are left inside.
First this one and then the other.
The first one is ready and the piece can be moved.
Using exactly the same step let's repeat the same with the others until the end.
Just fit and fold the corners.
Right, the last one can be a little trickier.
Just fit as before.
And here we need to fold inside this little pocket.
The same step, the same logic.
But now may be a little trickier, a little difficult.
Because the pieces are already in place.
Just do it carefully and the result is great.
Okay, it's normal that the first time is a little more difficult to change shape.
But to finish we'll first close and reinforce the creases very well.
The more open and close the easier it gets.
Now it should be much easier.
And our 8-point ninja star that changed shape is ready!
This is the mod that I found most interesting.
Also one of the easiest to do.
I really hope you have been able to do and enjoying this video.
