Oliver Twist | A Modern Remake of Charles Dickens | GROUP 3 SHIFT 3 | ENGLISH LITERATURE | #bekindbecool

OLIVER TWIST | EVERY CHILD DESERVES A CHILDHOOD, NOT A FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL.

✨ What becomes of childhood when the world offers cruelty where there should be kindness?

Born into a world that sees little value in his innocence, Oliver Twist is forced to navigate a life shaped by poverty, exploitation, and human indifference. In a society where power belongs to those who possess wealth and influence, a child’s voice can easily be silenced, and their vulnerability turned into someone else’s advantage.

Yet, amidst the cruelty that surrounds him, Oliver’s journey reveals something profoundly human: the enduring need for love, compassion, and belonging. Between those who seek to exploit him and those who choose to protect him lies a world divided not merely by wealth or status, but by the choices people make when faced with another person’s suffering.

Inspired by Charles Dickens’ timeless novel Oliver Twist, this adaptation revisits a story that remains painfully relevant across generations. Beyond its portrayal of poverty and social injustice, it invites us to reflect on the responsibility we share in protecting the innocence and dignity of every child.

Through this film, we hope to leave behind a simple yet powerful reminder: A childhood should be filled with wonder, not fear; with love, not suffering. No child should have to earn the right to be protected, and no child should ever be left to fight for a life they deserve to live.

Because kindness should never be a privilege, and childhood should never be a battle for survival. ❤️
