Get a built-in look without the built-in price and add an IKEA Packs closet
system to your existing linen closet. I partnered
with our friends over at iDesign and some of you may already know
that I am their brand ambassador and I will be sharing how you can implement
their organizational products and more into your home. This is iDesign
website where you can find solutions for organizing
your everyday living space. You can follow them on Instagram.
They have tons of inspirational pictures for your bathroom, your kitchen, your
closets and you will be seeing a lot more
organizational solutions from me soon. I used to complain about how small our
linen closet is. Actually, it's the perfect size for the
Hubser and I and our linen closet is in our master bath.
It's small and narrow and it's often not easy to get what we need
with the bi-fold door that we had. The budget-friendly packs is IKEA's luxury
line that's not only module and customizable
but it also starts at budget-friendly prices and I'm going to share how you
can turn your ordinary closet into something extraordinary.
Putting anything together from IKEA is my least favorite thing to do
so here's a tip to make the ride smoother. Try putting all the screws and
parts into an egg crate or a cupcake pan. This will save you time and you can
thank me later. Now that the system is in place, it's
time to get that built-in look so I hired some help out for this part.
Our contractor carefully removed the old molding to accommodate the new molding.
The style I wanted was a vintage old world charm
and I chose the delta style which gave it a double-step profile that made the
trim look extra big. Since our walls are textured, I used this
product called Orange Peel to repair the walls from when the
contractor removed the trim and you can get this from the Home Depot.
Time to freshen up the closet. I get rid of our old towels because they were old
and hard and replace them with the iDesign brand.
They're soft and absorbent and there's even a handy hook to hang your towel dry.
I always get questions about how do I keep my whites looking so bright.
I always wash my whites together and I love using the Nelly's laundry soda.
This is my absolute staple for our laundry room. This is what I use you guys
to keep my whites bright. There's no harsh chemicals or cleaners
and it's amazing for sensitive skin. iDesign has adjustable drawer dividers
and they come in a set of two. The dividers adjust from 13 inches all the
way to 20 inches and if you have deep drawers this is
perfect. It also has a locking mechanism to help keep the divider in place and
foam pads to protect the ends of your dresser.
You all know I only keep two sets of sheets for bed. Pillowcases
and euro shams are on the other side of the divider. There's nothing worse than
having everything jammed into a drawer and yes
I do steam my sheets. I chose to have the glass front drawer
so I can get an overview of what's inside and like I said these
drawers are 24 inches deep. You can really store a lot of things in
this drawer you guys. I only like to keep six bath towels,
eight washcloths and about six hand towels. Again this entire set of towels
you can get from iDesign. On this shelf I have some of my smell
goods and decor on this marble tray. My husband doesn't have much. All of his
things are under his side of the bathroom sink
and if I ever need this space it's easy to remove or even
add more shelving. This pull-out tray has to be my all-time favorite.
I'm using the iDesign drawer organizers to customize my must-haves
and you can configure it the way you want or even add or remove as many as
you want. The possibilities are endless. Kitchen
bins are a must-have for keeping your items neat and contained
and I love that they have handles for easy access and they even have bins
to accommodate deep shelving. These bins are super long and I love them.
The two bottom shelves is where I keep my matelassé coverlet
and I can fit at least three to four of them on this shelf and in this basket is
where I'm keeping our toilet paper. Again keeping everything
contained where you can just grab and go. If you're wondering about not always
keeping it as neat and organized as this,
we can always add a door. We purchased two doors, one that's glass and the other
that's paneled with no glass and it was on clearance for only $25
each just in case we want to add a door. I hope you all are inspired to get your
linen closet under control. I will provide the product links down
below and a warm thank you to iDesign and I want to thank you all for
watching.
