From nostalgic laps at childhood resorts to deep, blower powder in Hakuba and Palisades Tahoe, the video highlights the emotional and physical thrill of finding untouched snow in diverse global terrains.
The 2025-2026 winter season has been a wild ride for most of North America. It honestly was a
losing battle but I managed to put myself in the right places at the right times to enable myself
to ski as much powder as possible. Now this isn't the full ski season recap well because the season
continues for me and as you all know my fiscal ski year begins when the fresh snow starts falling
in North America in September or October but I did want to treat you to something a little special
during these boring snow deprived summer months. I wanted to recount my top 10 runs from the winter
season so far and believe it or not the clips you just watched were all moments from this season
amazing moments and the video you're actually watching right now is one of the runners up.
This run was beneath a closed pizza chairlift in Japan and although it was short it was something
super special it was beautiful how often can you ski underneath a completely
snow-covered pizza box lift all by yourself. Okay let's roll on to the main event.
Coming in at number 10 we've got an early season lap at Whistler Blackcomb. Now early season is
always special because you've just been craving some good skiing and when it finally lines up
it just feels better than any other time of the year because you've really been missing
fresh snow. This run in particular was special although we had great runs all day it was just
Rob and I on lesser flute on the Whistler side and it was so cruisy and the snow was so good
and there finally was a bit of a base and just quiet moments like this with the blue sky when
you can just enjoy turns where the buddy are are pretty magic.
Coming in at number nine we've got a March Madness day on Sasquatch Mountain resort. The March Madness
storm really missed Whistler this year but there was a mega storm in the Pacific Northwest and I
wanted to catch it on the Canadian side of the Cascade so Sasquatch got hit with this amazing
random storm. It was a little bit wet but the mountain was dead empty all day and I had some
of the most phenomenal and Japan-like skiing at one of BC's most random mountains and god was it fun.
Holy. Sick. Oh yeah. Oh yeah buddy.
Holy. Coastal Japan dude. Should have grabbed the 120s. Woo. Hilarious.
That was so good. At number eight we've got a good old
seventh heaven front side south side lap on Whistler Blackcomb. This was early December 23rd
right before Christmas. You could say this was just a Christmas gift to me really. It was one
of those days where the snow piled up there wasn't all that many people there right away and I was
able to pass a bunch of riders to get first down one of my favorite lines on the front side and
it was bottomless and it was phenomenal. Oh f**k. Windblown. S**t. Holy dude. Holy. Windhammer.
There it is. Oh my god dude. Yeah. Yeah. We're floating baby.
Oh yeah. It's too deep.
F**k yeah. And to make that seventh heaven lap even better it wasn't just me enjoying it I also
although I left them for a lap or two I was guiding Mother Alpine and Laura and my sisters
around uh this pow day and they had just as much fun on these deep runs as as I was having. Look
Dreamy dreamy. Whoa. Oh. Hang on girls. I can do it. Yep. That means I'm working hard.
This is worse than a beginner. At number seven Manning Park resort this was early January and
honestly might go down as my favorite run of the ski season although I can't call it a top
powder run it was a little bit crunchy just the emotions for me were absolutely off the charts. I
grew up skiing this mountain and it was just as good as I remembered it. I got to head straight
into my favorite lap on the entire mountain untouched and then I continued to ski untouched
laps all day long. So I'll show you one or two laps because they're they're shorter laps but
this day as a whole for me just just absolutely warmed my heart and and brought me back to all
the good times I had. No freaking way dude. I almost want to cry. Yeah. Woo. Got a little crust
under there but that's all good. Yeah. Yep. Good call Jimbo. Woo. Yeah. Let's hit this little ridge
here. Yeah buddy. Wow. Holy ----. Also here's another quick bonus lap from Manning Park. We'll
keep it under the same rating uh but this was my favorite run as a kid. My mom when there was deep
powder day used to just let us go ski this one because people could watch us from the chairlift
the locals could watch us and I remember it was always so deep and I was so short that I could
just go straight down this without even turning and this run in particular built my love for
powder and I just have deep rooted memories on this exact run so being able to ski this completely
untouched was kind of a dream of mine and I'm almost tearing up watching it thinking about
the feeling I had um that day so I just had to add this one in as well.
Wow. Thank you patrol. You're a living legend. That was so memorable. You rock. You rock. At number six
we're heading across the globe to Japan. Hakuba Japan and this was the first real powder day
Jimbo and I experienced. While we were there the first part of our trip was kind of a drought we
were skiing icier conditions still having a blast but this run was the first real taste of deep
Japanese powder so even though it wasn't the best run we had on the whole trip
just the the emotion of finally skiing that light dry cold Japanese snow was off the charts like
the stoke was off the charts. God I'm nervous. I'm nervous. I'm so nervous dude. This is what we
came here for. We traveled thousands of dollars thousands of miles for this run. For this exact
moment. Should have got it at five. All right. Thank you. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Oh my god. No way dude.
Oh.
Oh my god. Oh. What. Oh my god. No way.
Holy f**k. What the f**k boys.
I never felt anything that deep. Oh. Yeah buddy.
That's okay. Swimming.
What just happened dude. What was that. What the f**k.
Number five. Surprise surprise. There's going to be quite a bit of Japan on on the list because
we skied a lot of good runs out there and this was a few days after our first big powder in Japan
and we just hit one of those tree laps completely fresh and it just felt like it went on forever.
There's something so magical about these tight but turnable trees in Japan. The perfect pitch
to just cruise and snow flying off your face and this was a real special one just with the length
and untouched nature of this run. It's a run I still am dreaming about to this day. Oh yeah dude.
Oh yeah buddy. Oh yeah fresh. Fully fresh.
Yeah. No ******* way. Oh my god.
Oh yeah the goat. Good call. Good call dude. That was the deepest strongest run I've ever done.
10 out of 10. I could die a happy man Jimmy. That was amazing. Great call.
At number four we've got one of my most surprising deep snow days of the season and this was at
Stevens Pass in late March and I saw this storm come in. I decided to chase it and did not think
it was going to be as good as it was and what made this even more special is I've never skied this
resort. I've never asked anyone about this resort and I just said whatever. Skied the first run. I
kind of fell down off the chairlift and it turned out to be one of my favorite laps of the entire
season. Open, deep, light, snow hitting my face and you couldn't ask for a better run than this.
Oh it's close. Stop. Close up. Oh that's beautiful. That checks out. See you man.
Where to go? Steep stuff was closed. I don't know. I think I'm gonna jet down this way.
Oh yeah dude. Oh my god.
What? What dude?
That probably was not the appropriate run to start with but I don't really care. Oh my god.
This is so fun. It's so light dude.
What a freaking lap. Big cliffs or what are we working with?
Where are we now? Oh that's no problem. Holy. No grip on the snow. Yeah.
What?
Oh my god. You good? That's fun eh?
****. Wow. There is a lot of terrain. Don't know if I did the right thing but uh
that was ******* rad dude. It is so light. It came down so light. Holy ----.
------- Eurostar ************. Oh my god. You are kidding me dude. 10 out of 10.
At number three we're heading over to California. Palisades Tahoe. I went to Palisades for the big
eight foot storm this year and it was complete chaos and I was dealing with a lot of mountain
closures, road closures, basically a whole lot of bullshit but I managed to get third in line for
KT22 and put I think the second track other than patrol into uh this shoot. Already forget the name
but I know it's like one of those runs everyone's always gunning for and man was it freaking epic.
I just had blower pow top to bottom. They just had about six feet of snow. It was still storming
and this is just one of those long pow laps that goes on forever. Nice steep pitch compared to
Japan and I was absolutely frothing through my ski suit on this one. Holy ----. Oh my god dude.
Yeah. Oh yeah. No ******* way. Yeah. Oh.
That is incredible. No idea if I took the right line but that was great.
Well I'll give you my review on Palisades right now. Absolutely ******* insane.
Can I press record? Oh thank god.
Just keep swimming.
Wow that might have been best run of the year.
At number two of course we're going back over to Japan. This time at one of our favorite tiny
mom-and-pop resort Seki Onsen. This was the day after the mega storm that got like six seven feet
in a day so the snow had compressed a little bit and skied a little bit and we wanted to go
somewhere steeper. We had skied this resort before so we kind of knew the laps we were gunning for.
Before this one we skied a lap right under the chairlift which was awesome and then we just
headed right to this ridge with some of the steeper terrain and had some of our favorite
turns for the entire day. We didn't ski a single run that wasn't blow or pow from start to finish
on this day and a quiet mountain like this it's pretty damn special to ski all day like that.
So dope dude. Even the whole ridge is gonna go hard.
Yeah dude. Oh frick. I love you Japan.
Oh my god dude.
And at number one in Hakuba, Japan I think I had one of the craziest runs of the ski season and
not because it was the steepest scariest or anything it just was the most shocking amount
of fresh snow light deep fresh snow that I've skied. It was so unexpected when we found this
pocket and I'll just let you watch this one and you can feel that with me but we managed to ski
runs like this all day long six seven laps of untouched snow and you really can't beat runs
like this and days like this it was a pretty unbelievable experience. Oh my god.
Holy ----. That's the best snow I've ever felt in my life.
